He really is doing something about it..... * I'm devastated.... * This result is without doubt the hardest one we have had to accept this season. * We are under pressure now and the lads have to keep believing. * We have let in three soft goals and shown our fragility. * They are resilient and will bounce back physically. * But we will have to see what this does to them psychologically. * We cannot keep defending like that if we want to start winning. * We should have been 3-0 up and out of sight at half-time. * You could see the nervousness creep in. * All three goals were poor ones from our point of view. * David James' mistake handed the visitors a 75th-minute equaliser. * It's frustrating, because we have played well enough. * We are down the bottom of the league for a reason. ...he kept the players in the dressing room for 45 mins after the game last night and these were the bones of his comments... All will be resolved,it doesn't matter, except....... 'Supporter (this is a comment taken from OTIB) Which ever way you look at it, it's another damning inditement of Millen. So far those pro-Millen have said he needed more time / close season / pre-season. He's now had that. Others have said that his hands were tied financially. Again not true - he's spent a fair amount and funds have been given. Others have said that the squad he inherited was poor and he was stitched up with an imbalanced squad. Last night proved that wasn't true - the talent is there (and even more available off-pitch) but it's not being used effectively. 'Despite being given time, money (Over £2m) and a reasonable squad he's underachieving, being out-thought, unable to motivate and unable to create a decent squad. Why has it taken over a year to put on a good home display with basically the same squad he had a year ago? (he's not even playing the new ones apart from Kilkenny) So a question to all those pro-Millen (Happy clappers) - what actual mitigating circumstances are there for the position in the league and the rubbish performances? What credible excuses can you wheel out?.....' Action needs to be taken......The board must act surely....
Apart from our Blue Half friends who want Keith to stay (wonder why???), what are the benefits of him staying. I've tried to come up with some: 1. Money - it will cost us to pay off Keith and I assume Wigley 2. Continuity (could see this as money as well, because a new manager will want new players) 3. He's a young coach who can learn from his mistakes 4. Loyalty 5. Erm - struggling now??
5, a new manager cant do anythng until jan anyway so best to leave the man in charge who already knows the players until a new manager is already in place and can assess the team 6, if millen gets sacked immediately, you will have your number 2 as your caretaker manager. is he better than millen?
cjs 5 is wrong he can loan market still open and he can also play our best 11 i see him being sacked monday morning if not sat night so new man gets international break to work with most players
Millens season so far...... 10 games played... Lost...6 Drew.3 Won..1 Goals... For......8 Against..16 League Position after 9 games........23rd...
indeed he can use the loan market but as you have already loaned in 1 player there is a limit you can loan per season, you will find any new manager will use that system after jan transfer window shuts as then they know what budget they have. any loans now will be 1 month short term loan and that will cause more distruptions bring in a new player for a month and they will need to gel and by the time that happens he would be off again. if a new manager comes in now, you wont see any changes until jan the earliest. just my opinion though
