My very reliable source tells me miliband has finally been appointed in a Non executive vice chairman roll. Do you guys think he will help improve sunderlands international reputation or just think he's here for the pay packet.

I think he will get us recognisition across the globe as he was in the running for the labour leadership.

And if he is just here for the paypacket, at least he's ex labour n not an ex Tory

I think he'll raise awareness internationally, the SAFC brand is growing all of the time...
 
I think to have an ex-Foreign Minister marketing the club abroad is a very,very good idea. He'll have all the international contacts for the job. I'm 100% in favour. If, on the other hand, he has anything to do with the British Isles, I'm 100% against it. South Tyneside would vote Labour if Labour dropped nuclear bombs on Sunderland, Gateshead and Durham Cathedral. But the rest of Britain isn't so impressed with them. After Blair's politically correct, health and safety daft, ASH driven, do-goodie trash, being an ex-Labour minister ain't such a good advert.

Milliband for abroad - yes. For the British Isles - Quinn (by light years).
 
Fair comment, Cuteybuns (jeez, it's hard to type that user name of yours! <laugh> ).

It can only be a good thing. For a reported £50k a year, it could be money well spent.

I hope Quinny gives us an update on how the investment is being rewarded as time goes by.
