    This will be interesting.

Or quickly locked. Either way, it's not really indicative of the dozen or so posters on here.

They're Scumbags, nothing more to say, That's one of the problems of having a load of plastic foreign fans supporting the club unfortunately. Seen so many cases of this sort of crap, makes me feel sick and i hope they get found and locked up or hit by a bus

Champions of Europe. We know what we are!

As is John Obi Mikel. How anyone can abuse this Chelsea champion is beyond me:

    Premier League (1): 2009–10
    FA Cup (4): 2006–07, 2008–09, 2009–10, 2011–12
    League Cup (1): 2006–07
    FA Community Shield (1): 2009
    UEFA Champions League (1): 2011–12

Could you provide evidence of the scousers 'putting their hands up' every single one backed Suarez to the death.

He was found NOT GUILTY, now do piss off, you'd expect us to do the same if he was found guilty, imagine how stupid we'd look coming on your board arguing against a Judge who had all the evidence/facts to conclude his case?

Anyway, going to close this. The title is disgraceful and Northolt's comment totally unfair.

All racism is bad; whether it is

    Chelsea fans on twitter.

The QPR fans racially abusing me at Hammersmith station after 6-1

Or the racist songs directed at Drogba last season at LR when he was sent off

Those QPR fans racially abusing you at Hammersmith station were actually Chelsea fans in QPR gear
It would never be able to be proven in court

Every club has their idiots. It's naive to think to think that clubs that have millions of fans worldwide won't have their ignorant, racist, bigoted morons. Sadly, my club Arsenal have been guilty of doing it to Adebayor and more recently Tiote.

But I find it in interesting that time and time again, it seems to be Chelsea in the middle of some race fiasco. Terry, fans from Chelsea abusing Sturridge and more recently Mikel.

Now as I said, all clubs have their idiots and no club is 100% clean but clearly there seems to be a particular ilk of Chelsea fans that keep on rearing their ugly head... or I guess it's just a media conspiracy theory, the loud 'minority' that make all Chelsea fans look bad. But 'why always Chelsea'? Why does it frequently seem to be your fans who seem to racially abuse others, and more stupidly, their own ethnic players?

But I guess if I raise this issue, I wouldn't be surprised if I get a barrage of insults, rather than have some Chelsea fans actually engage me and discuss this issue.

Clubs don't get their reputations purely based on fallacy. <whistle>

But I digress. The truth hurts sometimes and the consequence leads to lashing out at the truth bearer.

Well firstly I object to the claim "racism runs in our clubs DNA".

First and foremost Racism has existed far longer than Football has. If racist people happen to affiliate themselves with Chelsea Football Club then there's nothing the club can do about it. They can't be tossed aside just as hooligans can't, they are part of the club and are passionate about Chelsea FC. I'd argue as a club we have campaigned for equality and anti-racism more vociferously than any other club and continue to do so with our "Right to Play" and "Kick It Out" messages before every match.

Chelsea had signed and embraced many black players when the likes of John Barnes was getting banana's thrown at him well into the early 90s. Not to mention the abhorrent criticism we took from the right wing press (and even MOTD) for having signed so many foreign imports in particular African players. I think I'm correct in saying we signed the first ever Nigerian player (Celestine Babayaro), we also signed many more African players over that 10-12 year period and it is part of the reason why our fanbase in Africa is so large. I still remember to this day people having the old phrenological stereotypes saying Africans lacked the "intelligence" and "technicality" to play in the PL, upon our success everybody started signing African players and were in mourning come January when ACON arrived. It shouldn't be so readily dismissed what Arsenal and Chelsea have done for the PL in taking the chance on African players when nobody else would.

Touching on a post made earlier by COE, unfortunately when you have success you attract this breed of fan. Back in the day when football clubs like ours were just local clubs that served the local community you more or less knew every fan and if you didn't know them you'd have seen them in/around the ground. We can't wash our hands with these fans but at the same time we can't account for their racist online behaviour. I have absolutely no doubt at all that none of the people that allegedly racially abused Mikel would be found on a normal matchday at Stamford Bridge. These are most likely fanatics who live thousands of miles away in countries where racism is deemed acceptable. That's certainly the case for one of the people that abused Mikel which I've seen myself. Similar to Suarez/Evra gate.

Domestically apart from Arsenal and Spurs (both of whom neighbour large black communities) we have the largest black fanbase. It's extremely cosmopolitan now, you could go to most PL clubs (never mind Football League) and not see one black face amongst the support.

All clubs have racist fans, that's all I can say really.

    Yes they do.

There is no such thing as the truth if it comes 2nd hand. The only real truth is what you experience because the media lie to manipulate people constantly.

Chelsea's notorious hooliganism past cannot be denied and we were infamous for it despite the fact media darlings West Ham were just as bad if not worse.

Other misconceptions are that Chelsea were the only club the NF tried to recruit fans at. Not true at all, it happened at Birmingham, Leeds, West Ham, Millwall, Arsenal etc. Some clubs like Birmingham & Arsenal were more resistant than others. Even then the racists were in the minority but more importantly racism was the norm back then, be it at a football ground or a bar/club/dining area it would be no different.

When the initial violence between Millwall and West Ham broke out in 2009 the media initially were very quick to place blame on the Millwall fans by implying they were provocative although when the "truth" emerged it almost completely vindicated Millwall of any wrongdoing.

The abuse was more down to what is Mikel's perceived footballing ability than his colour. If all/most black Chelsea players got the same abuse from their own fans then your response would be justified but evidence suggests the contrary.

Drogba has received racial abuse at grounds all across the country. He was banned for 3 matches for throwing a coin back into the crowd but was also racially abused by a contingent of Burnley fans (Burnley a notoriously right wing, BNP voting area) and this wasn't even reported the next day.

Had a 59 year old Chelsea fan been seen making monkey gestures at Evra at Stamford Bridge, everybody would start saying "Typical Chelsea fans, racist blah blah blah", but as it's Liverpool they were praised for turning that fan in.
