Guess they have started roughly 5 or 6 matches together and we haven't won single one of them..
they are the deadly aka terrible partnership for us..

    # Lamps a legend but has nothing on his legs to cover the liabiltiy that Mikel is ! Thanks & please leave
    # Mikel continues to provide nothing - defensive / offensive

this is well documented just like the hatred for rafa ! still Rafa starts pair of them?!

guess we can handover 3pts rather putting teamsheet with these two on it

agree absolutely no balance to the pairing at all and it shows on the stats so far Southampton have had 60% of the ball.

even with rotation, and his selfish obsession to beat Saffa, Rafa could have started frank-luiz say and rambo-mikel like second half v United earlier this season

As a Saints fan at the game today I thought Mikel was sloppy in possession and once Ramires came on it made a big difference. Happy to snatch three points off you guys but didn't think you were that bad in the second half, thought Terry played well, just don't play Marin again!

Yeah Ramires just gives us that extra bit of energy when he plays, doesn't always provide the best quality but certainly makes up for it with effort and work rate.

Had we had a stronger side i'd like to think we'd have gave you a better game but take nothing away from you lot, by far the better team and 2-1 probably flattered us. I do hope you stay up as you certainly play the right way.

Moses is worth persevering with. Ridiculous amount of talent that needs to be channelled effectively. He's the kind of young, squad player who will suffer under the manager a season policy as he'll never be given a proper run in the side.

Agree that Lamps and Mikel are the worst possible midfield pairing. Both of them give the team something when NOT played together. Luiz and Lampard were ,in my opinion, the best mids all season when they played together. It is impossible that Rafa doesn't see this, even he is not that stupid.
So please, no more of this, "maybe Rafa is not so bad " bollocks, he is a total plonker and will have us out of top 4 in the next 3 weeks.
No top 4, no Jose, it's that simple.

Thanks, we do like to try and llay the right way, particularly since Poch took over. Don't beat your midfield up, to be fair Schneiderlin and Cork have made Gerrard/Allen and Toure/Barry look just as bad in recent weeks. Those two prob have the best engines in the Prem and won't give you a moments rest.

I know you're resting people god Monday but you should have brought Hazard on earlier. He oozes class and started to make things happen when he came on-lucky our defence held firm today.

Your fans were great and some good banter, particularly like the 'Champions of Europe, we'll sing it till May' chant. Our reply of 'you'll never win it, you'll never win iiiiit, Johnston'st Paint Trophy, you'll never win it!!

Good luck with the rest of the season, particularly against the clubs down the bottom!!

I agree that he has bags of potential, but we need performances right here right now! Marin is a complete waste of money. Falcao, Isco, Courtois (returned and loaned to a PL team to get a season of PL action under his belt), and a proper DM and we are good to go for next season.

Agreed, Moses is a class act - paired with Torres & Marin he would look s#!t, so would Messi

Thought Moses was quite dangerous tonight; his attacking moves broke down quite frequently, but more than anything it owed to the fact that he was often the only player involved in the move, with Torres and Marin nowhere to be seen. He got to the box with impunity, but it's rather difficult to create anything when four players are swarming you for lack of anyone else to mark.

I'm just not seeing this Moses thing, yes he's stocky gets in but then makes a load of mistakes, lost the ball a good few times as well. I will hold out until end of season before I make up my mind about him, but certainly not convinced atm
