Tyson was not a "boxer"...just a real mean fighter with an awesome punch!

Agreed with Tyson v Frazier - two real sluggers going toe to toe!

Tyson's an out and out animal - a streetfighter.

Ali was The Greatest, a boxing genius and a true legend of the ring.

  8. tyson's power and speed would be too much for Ali. he could take alot of punishment but not the type of punishment tyson used to dish out. foreman could probably hit harder but not as accurate or fast as tyson

its just a shame there was no-one to match tyson in his prime. he fought alot of journey men

My favourite era for boxing was when the middleweight division had Hagler, Leonard, Hearns & Duran...some classic fights from some of the best boxers ever <ok>

the problem with boxing now is the amount of belts available due to the seperate governing bodies, it would be so much better only having 1 champion for each weight.

Too much politics and self preservation now

I rate Duran better than all ye have mentioned here - but tis all about opinions - all were great fighters.

makes me cringe when i see this weekend David Haye is fighting Audley Harrison for a heavyweight world title.

Too many people would lose out if they done that.....as you say

I can't imagine how excited I'd have been if there was something like Thrilla in Manilla coming up this weekend, but need to make do with Harrison v Haye <grr> I'm meant to be going to a mates to watch it and don't even think I can be arsed.

I hate Mayweather. His fights are the most boring I can imagine. Haye v Valuev was a huge disapointment as well.
