I'm not sure how many of you read my article the other day. Basically, I said that I thought Mike Ashley now had a long term strategy for Newcastle United.

Here is my article, just in case you fancy taking a look.

Well anyway, I quite interestingly came across a statement from Alan Pardew. Here's the article with the quote.

I find this interesting because it strengthens my suspicions that Mike Ashley wants Newcastle United to be a success. In part because he has been very successful with all of his past ventures and he wants this one to end in exactly the same way.

If he truly wants this obviously I would only welcome this
at the end of the day if he is going to be in here for the long term he may aswell give it his best shot

Good on Pards for saying that to him and let's hope that Ashley does get the success that he craves and we really start going places.

I for one hope that MA is getting his head into the game and is in for the long haul, development needs stability if you consider Man Utd's golden period it came out of turbulence, the key was developing young players with a core of more experienced professionals and the continuity of manager. Given a couple of key results especially getting one tomorrow against Wolves we could be sitting secure mid table and looking forward to next season, I am sure that most of us would be happy then.
