The testing is absolutely bollocks so i can't really blame Mike for not wanting to throw good money after bad.

Not really because the testing means **** all. Doesn't even mean they have COVID. Even if they tested negative it doesn't mean they don't. Just look into the testing mate, its accuracy is appalling and there are concerns the testing they are doing is broad spectrum, hence so many false positives etc. Its an absolute shambles at present.

This isn't in dispute about their testing though, they've admitted themselves its not accurate. Its also something I've seen first hand experience of through work. And I relayed the story last week that 5 lads went to get tested for their 5 a side league. Had no tests. Later that evening got a message saying they'd tested positive. People need to get their head out of the sand about the testing and rise in cases. If we place no demand on accurate testing, the whole thing is a shambles and anything procedure put in place is a waste of time.

I think likewise of anyone spouting cases and testing as proof of anything. I find it hilarious that the NHS themself have said its probably only 70% accurate at best. Yet people seem to be just riding roughshod over that in favour of scaremongering. There is a virus out there and people should be responsible. That includes not presenting a worse situation than it is or using dodgy testing to inform decision making. It would be like going buying a load of baby stuff for £10,000 because a pregnancy test, that was only 70% accurate, says the missus is up the duff.

 

This is about the clubs dumb decision nothing more.. If you want to keep moaning about fakenews this isn't the place

 

As I say I support the clubs stance. Pointless testing them if the results are potentially only 70% accurate at best. You are not making the situation any better. You are making it worse because rather than just having to worry about asymptomatic carriers, you also have to worry about carriers that have been declared safe by a dodgy test but are really carrying the thing.

As I say the whole issue is a shambles. If I didn't know better I'd think Mike was behind the testing to be honest.

 

When you say “at the minute” and given your acknowledged speed off the mark and just for clarification, do you mean now or six months ago?
