Big fight this weekend, Floyd Mayweather take on, the WBA light-middleweight champ, Miguel Cotto. A fight that could have happened 4 years ago in not for the retirement of Mayweather from the sport finally happens. Cotto has a lost speed, sharpness and the aura of an unbeaten fighter since 2008 but has gained experience, and is a lot more tactically aware. Floyd shows no signs of fading, is looking stronger and more aggressive and still has the speed and reflexes at 35. So how do you see this fight going? Will Floyd force a stoppage, a safety first UD or will Cotto spring an upset. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zAyNtT2xk9w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Cotto seems confident.
Would love to see Cotto absolutely batter him and teach the guy some bloody manners. Unfortunately, it wont happen and Floyd will break him down with expert defence and acurate countering forcing a late stoppage on his feet but with a very batterred face. Floyd to win by 10th round stoppage
Manny Steward has given a couple to Mosely. I have given everything to Alvarez so far. A couple of close rounds. He is just hitting so hard. rd 5
Mosely is landing..... but Alvarez is marching through them. It is some showing from the Irish Mexican.
I don't like to see this happening to one of my favourite fighters. He can't and won't be pulled out but he's getting a hiding. 10-1
Have to disagree with you, Cotto put on a great performance, made Floyd work hard, pressured him, and won a lot more rounds than just 1. There were two crystal clear round for Cotto, and in total I gave Miguel 4 rounds but there were a lot of close rounds where Floyd did not win by much. Cotto had a slow start but took control in the middle rounds, Floyd came back well in the champions rounds which he needed to win to ton win the fight on my card. The commentary on BoxNation was disgraceful, so biased towards Mayweather, and spent most the night telling everyone how wonderful Floyd was instead of commenting on the fight.
Cotto showed great defense caught a lot of Floyd's punches on his gloves and made Floyd just hit air at times. Floyd connect percentage was 26%, 20% down on his previous average connects.
I think you have to give massive credit to Mayweather, he's gone up a weight and beaten the champ with relative ease. The man is a boxing genius... no matter what kind of repulsive **** he is out of it.
