    Hull won 1-0.
    Massive 3 points for them.
I expect them and Villa to pick up points now.
It will between us, Leicester and Mackems for the third drop spot.

I see it like this, we're the two most stagnant teams in the league. Keep ahead of us and you'll probably be safe, if we catch you you're ****ed. If QPR put a run together we could both be down.

Hull were really good defensively, didnt give liverpool any time at all. scousers werent even that bad, they just really lack that killer edge. Balotelli almost anonymous.Think theyve got a tough run in though but they do have three home games. At least the last two games would have taken a lot out of them but theyll still end up above us.

Well probably beat leicester mind and wont even get the enjoyment of a tense battle with relegation, such is the pathetic non event of being a toon fan at the moment.

2 weeks ago I thought we were just about safe despite the bad run. Now, I genuinely think we will continue to slide down into oblivion. It's just like last time with Hull just sneaking out of the danger zone at the eleventh hour.

It really is squeaky bum time now and Hull have Burnley to play at home which will heap even more presure on us to get a win. Think we'll get beat off Leicester and our best chance is West Brom, however, they too are capable of getting a win.

I thought we were safe too. I think we now HAVE to beat Leicester. If this lot of bottlers get within sniffing distance of the bottom three its all over.

Leicester will get what they deserve and probably secure safety by beating us. They might not have had the best results this season but they have never stopped trying their best. Unlike us...

I always find it odd that when the chips are down, some times find the gusto to give it one last effort and end up winning 'unwinnable' games.
I applaud those teams but struggle to understand why any team waits until the last minute.

If we turn up on Saturday and get a result we will be safe. Go a goal down though and I can see us capitulating.
That leaves West Brom next Saturday. That is the must win game for me. Fail to do that then I can see us dropping.

At least Charnley will be fired for his complete devotion to his boss.

I think we will lose to Leicester but still stay up. I think we will get enough out of the West Brom and West Ham games (a point out of each game). I think we will also lose to QPR. Leicester have done a Sunderland last year. Fair play to them. Hull have done something when it mattered. I can only see a maximum of 4 or 5 points for the mackems between now and the end of the season. Anything can happen but I think they will almost certainly lose to Everton and Arsenal. Chelsea is a funny one because I would say defeat but they may go into party mode early. That said they have no FA Cup or CL so will probably put on a show. That leaves home games against Southampton and Leicester. Tough games because of the way they set up.

Just not convinced Sunderland or QPR will get 5 points, let alone us picking up a draw or two. Bit **** losing the derbies mind for all it will be hilarious to see Sunderland relegated. I know the derbies haven't been very good to us but its still better having them.

I think we have to assume Sunderland will get 7 points mate, after what they did last year I wouldn't rule anything out with them. So one win to be absolutely sure, I have a feeling we might nick that win at QPR as the chances are they might be already down by the time that game comes around. One thing for sure is, we need to be safe going into the last game as FAT Sam will relish winning (potentially his last game for West Ham) at SJP .

I agree it would be nice to get the win out the way. I am not that fussed if we get relegated though so maybe I'm more flippant about the whole thing. It doesn't seem that big a thing to me. The Championship has been way way more exciting than the PL this season for a start.

I know what you mean with the mackems, but I'm a big believer that if you entrench yourself in a relegation battle every year, eventually it'll catch up with you. I think they had certain fighting types the last few years with Colback, Bardsley, Alonso, Gardner, Borini etc too. They have a bit of fire in them, especially little Borini. Doing what they did last year is not the norm.

Don't get me wrong, if there is one side on relegation form then its us. I just think we might get lucky because there are so many **** teams. I think the likes of Leicester and Burnley are unfortunate as they've had a go both in terms of investing and fighting. They just have more passion than we do in how you're run or managed, and the way that seeps down to the players.

This...happens every year. Just shows how pure desire can make up for lesser ability.

Forget the premier league - if it stays the same I'm getting relegated from the prediction league!!
