After seeing this comment this morning, it got me thinking...

So how will Spurs cope in their new ground, when at Wembley, they get lower attendances than Sunderland, especially during midweek games, and are tourist flights more difficult during midweek...

    v Watford 29,164 - 30th Jan 2019
    v Southampton 33,012 - 5ht Dec 2018

and that was just taking a brief look at their midweek attendances, so where do 40,000 of their supporters disappear too during midweek <whistle>

Still need a fact check on this claim from Kipper that spurs regularly had 70k+ attendances at WHL in the 1970's

@CFC: Champions of FFP x2 to confirm

If this was true, why the decline in support as highlighted in the OP for 2018/19 season, 40,000 supporters mysteriously vanish during midweek games. Just a thought I haven't checked, were those games televised for armchair fans? <whistle>

    Apparently it's Wembley's fault.

I think they'll get decent attendances during the first season because of the novelty of a new stadium.

Remains to be seen what will happen if they continue to bottle trophies and their best players leave.

of course they will get decent attendances to start with, all the day trippers and tourists will be turning up to view the new ground, not to actually have any heart or passion in watching a Spurs game. It's like when you give a kid a new toy for Christmas and all they want to do is play with the box instead, that's basically Spurs fans in a nutshell.

They'll definitely get a load more tourists and day trippers. Corporate and hospitality tickets etc. Apparently their regular ST's have gone up massively and they are trying to sell some £5 grand ST's too !

No amount of cheese is worth that <whistle>

No mate, the net of defeat is your go to when you’ve been rinsed.

  18. Well, you talking about bites, and you are clearly being rinsed, so that pretty much fulfils your own criteria.

  19. I know, mate.

It's going to be like a morgue, at the New Lane.

In fact, that's what we're going to be known as - The Morgue.
