Sunderland, 11:26, November 24, 2011 Steve Bruce believes that summer signing Craig Gardner will come good despite a difficult start to the campaign. Gardner has found it hard to settle into life in the north east following his move from his native Midlands last summer and first team football has been difficult to come by at the Stadium of Light. Gardner scored ten goals for the Blues last season but he has been used in a more withdrawn role for the Black Cats when he has been in the side, which he has struggled to settle into and, although Bruce remains confident he will make the grade at the club there is little chance of an immediate recall to the side. Why Brucie were crying out for an attacking midfielder, and you still give us no decent reason why
he looked settled in the side to me, we played our best game with him in against Stoke, HE EVEN SCORED, then bang zilch
Cant settle in the NE? Where the **** is he from? Birmingham or friggin Outer *****lia? What a pile of utter horse ****e. The reason he is unsettled you fat headed moron is because you paid £5m for the lad, told him and us that he was the answer to our midfield goal scoring problem then havent bloody played him. As mentioned, he looked bloody settled and good alongside Vaughan (another woefully underused footballer at SAFC imo) in our only win of the season at home. He then had one average game and we've never seen him again. He was a first choice at Birmingham and now he isn't even getting a subs appearance at 6th bottom Sunderland. I bet he rues the day he said yes to the fat Geordie boy and I bet he wants away in January. I would. Sometimes it beggars belief that Bruce actually thinks we buy this bull **** he spouts on a daily basis.
