The 33-year-old, who also claims he turned down Championship side Watford, is a free agent following his release by Inter Milan. Mudingayi says he has attracted interest from a number of clubs in recent month, but he was unimpressed by the offer on the table from QPR. He told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport: âQPRâs offer didnât convince me. âIn June, I refused Watford because I was waiting on an offer in Serie A. But they are still first in line. âI negotiated with Palermo but they then signed (Luca) Rigoni. âThen there was India. (David) Trezeguetâs club wanted me, but I love football too much to play there now. âMany people think I am injured because I didnât play at Inter, but I recovered one year ago.â
The guy sounds absolutely hilarious and couldn't do a better job of remaining egotistical in the face of evidence he's bad. We MUST sign him up - double the offer!!! All the quotes are gold:- “Many people think I am injured because I didn’t play at Inter, but I recovered one year ago.” - could be attributed to (bloody) Luke Young (if he had frequented Milan). “Then there was India. (David) Trezeguet’s club wanted me, but I love football too much to play there now." - Trezeguet obviously models the club's playing style on Wimbledon circa 1990. “In June, I refused Watford because I was waiting on an offer in Serie A. But they are still first in line." - First behind the others. First for the last 4 months. If I was waiting at the front of the queue for that long, I'd think perhaps I'm queuing in the wrong place. “I negotiated with Palermo but they then signed (Luca) Rigoni." - they found someone better? Sign him up - he can't do any worse. At least it'll be more entertaining.
