Last season Pack Bacuna & Ralls were comfortably the worst midfield three I’d ever seen play for City.

It didn’t take long for that accolade to be handed to Messrs Ralls Rhinomota and Sawyers.

Hope Adams is an upgrade. Time will tell.

Looks like Wintle and Kipre were big misses tonight, as feared.

Midfield was very poor, and Ojo just as bad! How Sang doesn’t get into that team amazes me!

Can't agree about Ralls - maybe not the sharpest tool in the box, but at least he takes committment and effort onto the pitch unlike Sawyers and Ojo who are an embarrassment.

Those two are terrible a combination of lethargy, lack of pace of thought and also over the ground. They're almost Bacunaesque on the pitch and give the impression of total disinterest. It's not just last night's game, it's been there all season. After that performance they shouldn't be considered for the bench let alone start a game.

Rinomhota is a different animal altogether. A bit like headless chickens Harry Arter or Craig Bryson but without the final pass. Full of energy he puts himself about but with little end result, but I'd take him any day before Sawyers and Ojo.

I think you need someone like Rinonhota. All he needs to do is win the ball and give it to the nearest city player to him.

He's a midfield dog - a bit like Vaulks but with pace and energy. There's definitely a place for him at the club.

The style we're developing requires a cultured midfield but a ball winner is essential. I wouldn't be in a hurry to see the back of Rino.

We will have to see where Adams fits in post WC.

I've wondered a few times how O'Dowda would perform as a ball playing CM or 10.

Felt exactly the same last night.

Ralls at least was trying to make things happen and was constantly showing for the ball...

Ojo was next to useless and Sawyers was even worse.

I'd have Whyte, Sang, Colwill over those two any day of the week now. They've both had enough chances.
Olly Tanner can't be any worse than Ojo... Could be worth throwing him into the mix post WC break (no puns please, we have enough of a busted flush with the two players concerned).

Sawyers is ok if we are cruising and wanting to just tick along. He definitely isn't someone who's going to fight and scrap for the right to play and in the Championship, that covers about 99% of our games.

I’ve stated here often Sang should be given a go in CM.

As for Ralls well he’s too slow pace wise, too one footed, takes too many touches, is too slow to react and takes too long deciding whether to pass it sideways, backwards or out of play - that pass to Alfa in injury time a prime example.

I was against the club giving him a contract in the summer and IMO his performances this season have been consistently below average at this level.

Every opposition team at CCS seem to have busy ,quick footed, skilful CMs running rings around our selection of ponderous ones.
