With Ramsey and Arteta out for our next couple of games what midfield duo would you go for?

Wenger hinted that he would of liked to give chambers a go in the holding role but due to our current injuries to the back line says flamini is the main option we have.

    I think it'll be:

    Flamini--Wilshere

But can you think of any other good combinations to try with the absence of Arteta and Ramsey?

I'd like to see a diaby--wilshere midfield and I'd like to see how Cazorla does in a CM role too.

    What do you think?

I'd start Diaby against Chelsea, time for him to get a run in the team, we won't be playing 2 weeks again after Chelski so he will have ample recovery time, I'd play him at least once a week and be cautious with him like Chelski is with Costa.

I don't agree with playing Diaby next week at all. If we are going to try a suicidal approach then we may as well go hell for leather and simply try to out score the buggers :p

Would Diaby be ready for such a game? He kept it nice and simple against Southampton but Chelsea aren't gonna fanny around.

He probably won't be. But the tragic thing he is the type of player we need in games like this. I remember in the 2012/13 season we went away to Liverpool and Man City early in the season, and we put in two brilliant performances. Abou Diaby was in the heart of our midfield and was bossing it, matching Yaya, and destroying Gerrard. Shortly after that he injured and was out for the rest of the season.

Diaby would be a gamble, but to be honest so would Flamini.

Interesting idea playing Chambers there, but he is raw and has shown that he is prone to diving in and picking up yellows.

I reckon it will probably be Wilshere and Flamini. It's got to be better than the suicidal decision to play Ox in the middle there last season.
