Looks like we'll have four, maybe five midfielders out this weekend.
    Fraser out 6-8 weeks
    Skuse out 4 weeks
    Coke out (unknown)
    Douglas - banned
    Hyam - 50/50

If Hyam doesn't play, then that'll leave us with Bru, AMN, Sears, Tabby and possible Pringle if he signs.
If Bristol City play it right, they should murder us in the middle.
Do we have anyone else that could do a job there? I suppose Varney can drop deep, and maybe Foley can slot in somewhere.
Lets hope we have some inspired performances form a couple of our fringe/reserves.

The positive is our midfield don't do much on the ball anyway, so if they hold their positions it shouldn't be any different than normal

Give youth a chance.....McDonnall or even give young Dozzell a baptism.

Tabb apparently not going to play a minute for us - he was told to leave last summer and true to Mick's word he has played zero minutes in the league. He has played cup ties so my guess is his current deal includes quite a payment per game otherwise it's ridiculous he's gone from starting most games last season to not playing a single minute this! He's not that bad at CM.

Hyam / Bru appears our most logical choice.

McDonnell supposedly has ability galore but McCarthy has said he's available for loan so something doesn't add up here. That said, last season when he had to and we were in another absolute mess Mick threw the Bish in at Derby and he never looked back - sometimes these lads just need a game!

I cannot see Dozzell playing this one or this season, but can next.

Shame Cole Skuse is injured - he's well liked in Bristol and will always get a good reception at Ashton Gate

Underrated by many but I think he does his job well enough.
Mind you, I don't see him live so I'm not the best candidate for judging him.
