City are still without a win this season and are still on the look out for a proven championship striker to help end that run. Steve Cotterill's side had a 9 million pound bid for Brentford striker Andre Gray accepted at the beginning of the week only for the deal to follow in the same steps as Dwight Gayle with the striker rejecting a move. Middlesbrough also struggled to sign a striker in the window, they saw a 12m bid for Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes turned down before turning their attention to Leicester's David Nugent, who they ended up signing for 3 million last week, he's yet to get off the mark but fellow striker Kike has been in fine form so far with 3 goals. Nor me, but I have put us down for an away win. Its one of those that we just could and seem to have a good record up there- Unlike Leeds and Brentford who we never seem to do well against
That's the spirit We did buck the trend and won there 1-0 a few years ago after not winning up there for years and years on end. Also believe we won there 3-1 more recently in bad Fog ?
cannot see anything other than a boro win 3-0 to them i'm afraid. My pre season position may have to be re tweaked in the future if we do not start collecting some points.
So that's what a completed stadium looks like, isn't it nice? Whether we are prepared to admit or not this is a critical match to assess exactly where we lie in the overall scheme of things and it will either be a total disaster or a revelation of a team that can compete. I hope it's the latter because if we should get clattered up at the Riverside this board will come alive with dissent, and that would not be good for anyone concerned. You reap what you sow and this years looks like a bad crop.
You need to change your prediction Tom [City 2-2 Leeds ( Wilbs, Kodjia) 10 mins M'boro 3-0 City #21Tom_BCFC, Monday at 2:00 PMQUOTE="Tom_BCFC, post: 8277114, member: 1000181"]I can't see anything but an away win COYR [/QUOTE]
Unfortunately I can see defeat today and midweek at home v Burnley The 4 matches after that don't look any easier either. Birmingham City (a) PNE (a) Reading (h) and Ipswich (a)
Don't think you will have much trouble getting a seat for the mid week game against Burnley mate, might struggle to get over the locked gates though. It's Saturday not mid week
Trying to work out, how many of our players in the squad today would of played alongside Albert Adomah. I can only really think of Bryan and Reid and they would of been only a handful of times.
Bristol City: Hamer, Ayling, Flint, Williams, Little, Smith, Pack, Reid, Bryan, Wilbraham, Kodjia. Subs: O’Leary, El-Abd, Fredericks, Wagstaff, Robinson, Burns, Agard. Little starts - Albert on the bench for them
