Julio Arca (toe), Muzzy Carayol and Curtis Main (both knee) are expected to be out until the new year. Derek McInnes will include new loan signing Danny Wilson in his squad after the defender joined from Liverpool. Striker Jon Stead has been ruled out with a groin problem and will be out for a few weeks. Match Facts Head-to Head ⢠Middlesbrough have not beaten Bristol City at the Riverside since a 3-0 triumph in March 1995, drawing two and losing one of the three subsequent fixtures there. ⢠Bristol City have won only three of their 32 league games on Teesside. ⢠Should 'Boro score three times, it will take their total of goals in competitive matches against the Robins to 100. ⢠Third-placed Middlesbrough are four points off the pace and looking to bounce back after Cardiff brought an end to their eight-match unbeaten league run last weekend. ⢠A fourth successive home victory would provide manager Tony Mowbray with a welcome belated birthday present, two days after turning 49. ⢠The Teesside club boast the longest goalscorers list in the Championship of 16 different players. ⢠Grant Leadbitter is on the verge of his 250th career league appearance. Bristol City ⢠Bottom-but-one Bristol City halted a club record run of seven successive league defeats, and came within seconds of their fourth win of the season last weekend, when Blackpool equalised with a 92nd minute penalty. Now the Robins will want to terminate a run of four straight losses on the road. ⢠They are the only club without a clean sheet in the Football League, and are also the only club without at least one player who has been on the field for every minute of every one of their second tier matches. ⢠It is their worst start for 32 years, whereas Middlesbrough have made their best start in 15. ⢠Albert Adomah could make his 100th Bristol City league start. • They are the only club without a clean sheet in the Football League, and are also the only club without at least one player who has been on the field for every minute of every one of their second tier matches. **** statistic about the only club without a player to play every minute, but how many of the other clubs are only hanging onto that stat due to not changing their goalies? But good thread Wiz
No mate,I just filled in for today, hoping someone else takes up match threads soon, see what develops...
I suggested JGF, and I stick to it. He would love to do this sort of thing, think of all the stats he could do
well if we have no takers ill carry on doing them, ill just have to do bits and bobs of it over a few days
WHAT A **** TEAM!!! jesus Christ mcinnes do you want us to ****ing lose. Dear god couldn't have thought of a more terrible defence. Seriously CAREY!! ****ing Louis carey........... back to the bottom tonight can guarantee it
Heaton, Foster, Carey, Fontaine, Bryan, Adomah, Elliott, Danns, Pearson, Kilkenny, Taylor. subs - Gerken, D.Wilson, J.Wilson, Anderson, Woolford, Baldock, Davies.
Not happy with the team selection myself! This game could be the end of Del, if it loses the board could say we gave you backing in the loan market and transfer market but your playing the players that were here last season bar Heaton and Danns?
Strange team selection @bcfctweets: #BristolCity v Boro - Heaton, Foster, Carey, Fontaine, Bryan, Adomah, Elliott, Danns, Pearson, Kilkenny, Taylor. Subs @bcfctweets: #BristolCity subs - Gerken, D.Wilson, J.Wilson, Anderson, Woolford, Baldock, Davies.
Terrible team selection. where do we start Fontaine and carey in defence. These 2 are the reasons why we cried out for defenders yet the stupid **** puts them back in at one of the hardest teams we could play Kilkenny and Pearson. Both ****. Kilkenny to incosistant and pearson plays when he wants which isn't very often Elliott, Clearly not match fit but only thing we got Taylor as much as I like him he will never ever ever ever score goals. so we have nobody in the team who can score except Danns **** **** **** Fuming McInnes....
Un-****ing believable team selection. I think the squad there now is good enough - SL has sanctioned reinforcements. I think this selection just proves that Del hasn't got a clue. A bad result in each of the next two games and I think he'll get what he desreves picking a team like that!!!!
please log in to view this image Louis Carey.. Defender moves to within ten games of record. Louis Carey makes his first start for five weeks at Middlesbrough as local boy Matthew Bates misses out on a return to his former club with injury. Carey now moves to within ten appearances of John Atyeo's club record after Bates suffered a hamstring problem in training yesterday. Derek McInnes' only other change from his side that halted a seven-game losing sequence with a 1-1 draw against Blackpool last time out is up front, where Ryan Taylor is recalled in place of Jon Stead who has a groin strain. New loan signing from Liverpool Danny Wilson is included among the substitutes. Bristol City: Heaton, Foster, Carey, Fontaine, Bryan, Adomah, Elliott, Danns, Pearson, Kilkenny, Taylor. Subs: Gerken, J. Wilson, D. Wilson, Woolford, Anderson, Davies, Baldock. Middlesbrough: Steele, Parnaby, Hoyte, Hines, Bikey, Leadbitter, McEachran, Ledesma, Jutkiewicz, Emnes, Miller. Subs: Leutwiler, Halliday, L Williams, Thomson, Bailey, McDonald, Smallwood.
I think we all want carey to reach ateyos total but times like this he shouldn't be starting. On the bench at best, I would quite happily see carey come on for the final 10 seconds for 10 games. not starting
Wilson Wilson, Wilson, Wilson, Wilson Wilson, Wilson. Wilson, Wilson Wilson, Wilson subs Wilson, Wilson, Wilson. Wilson, Wilson, Wilson, Wilson. Wilson, Wilson, Wilson, Wilson. Wilson, Wilson, ........... Well I think you get the idea...
Shiny he baffles me completely regards his team selections.god knows what happens during the week in training. I really don't see his selection very very strange.
