Twitter is all over it. Looks like he'll need to either say he's a gullible naive jackass or spill the beans <laugh>

Dont care. The poorly run business cavorting as Sunderland Association Football Club IS NOT in any way, shape or form the club I was born to support. Tear the whole thing down brick by disgusting brick. Find a patch of grass on council estate and 11 local lads kit them out in red and white and I'll happily sing my heart out for them. However these ****s who've usurped a hallowed institution and made a mockery of it can **** of ASAP at any cost just as long as they go

Are you going one step further and talking liquidation? You know Sunderland afc will no longer exist then? I wouldn't be supporting any replacement team, if Sunderland AFC is gone then it it's gone for me.

I'll support any team which truly represents the city and people. The business (I can't call it a club) at the moment doesn't and is just standing in the way of us regaining pride

Given where we are in the league, the debt and the future prospects, I could see this happening. I know it was further into the league when Leeds went into administration, but Ken Bates had the same issues.

I'd be happy with a new owner who wants to invest personally.

But it's an over 100 year old institution, drastic just cause of a bad owner imo. I don't live in the town, and by twitter and rtg most of our fans are ****ers. I couldn't get behind a replacement team, it would mean nowt to me.

Settle yourself was only a daft quip. Of course we'd all take a new owner with cash to spend but I think my melodrama is more likely to happen

For me where ever the fans are and the sense of community can be felt is where safc are. If it's at old Trafford great, if it's on a crap pitch In the northern league that's fine enough too as long as there's pride

Yeah but factually away from the sentiments you'd be supporting a completely different club. Why not go and support RCA now and give the towns other team much needed support. If it is all about the town, there's a team right there right now for you.

Yeah I'm sure it's more likely that the stadium will be demolished brick by brick and relocated to a council estate with local lads as the team, than it is that we'll be sold by an owner who is trying to sell up and came close to doing so preseason.

Not you being a drama queen or anything.

Had on. Are you taking me seriously? I'm just having a moan at the state of my team. Aye I've definitely exaggerated but I wouldn't have if I thought anyone would take it as anything other than a reactionary rant to another awful match day. Of course I'd much rather take the best case scenario you've described every single fan would. But it feels a million miles away right now doesn't it? I'll fully admit there's monty-esque overtones in my post but I see the big picture and In my defence they've drove me to it<laugh>

What a cracking idea Bri! I'd happily go watch the rca I'd probably prefer it I'll look into that.

So what do you think about rangers?
If you were a rangers fan would you support new rangers? And would you see any difference In that one to the team you loved before? I'm not being antagonistic those are genuine questions. For me I would support rangers and see them as the same team because they only died on a balance sheet. Never one the pitch. So with that in mind In the extreme circumstance it happened to us, to me it would still be Sunderland.
