I say if we get to the final against Wolves that will be a sellout at Wembley. Serious money to be made in the competition,i am sure SoD will want to do well. fantastic days out the previous four finals we went to.
I seriously doubt we'll get to the final, and to be honest I hope we don't take it too seriously. I want to see the youngsters given a real chance in this trophy. Set the age cap to under 23 and let the academy kids have a go at first-team football.
Of course we should take it seriously....can't believe we would think otherwise. Money to be made, chance of a local derby, and what other cup will we have the chance....a genuine chance that is.....of getting to Wembley?
Any citation on this? I find it hard to believe that there's that much money in a good cup run for the JPT, especially when compared to the benefits of a fit team in the league.
I really, really hope we rest Baldock and JET, Cunningham and Maloney, Flint, Wynter and Wags. Which means basically we've got no chance and by the way CCR we are actually on a cup run at the moment, in what used to be known as The League Cup
We're not to bad in this competition to be fair and if we think we can be up there in league 1 then we should have high hopes for this cup. Lets have another trip to Wembley
we will only make money in this competition IF we make the final or draw Bristol Rovers at home the experience the younger lads will gain would be priceless I am not saying the whole starting 11 should be youngsters, but at least 5-6 alongside Carey Harewood and a couple of seasoned professionals
for a club like the rovers who spend all their time in the bottom divs they haven't done much in this cup, not really the 'Barca of the 4th'
