In the Red corner, we have a man who looks suspiciously like a Dinnerlady and in the Blue Corner we have man who looks like Sam the big blue Eagle from The Muppets! Here's the tale of the tape! I know Mc Carthy has a better win percentage but he has more games under his belt then Bruce. Personally, I think Bruce would be the better option
How can you look past this? In reality i agree with OLM. Mick won't come here because we're not ambitious enough for him and Bruce will probably go to back to Wigan.
How do you work out that McCarthy has more games & better win % yet Bruce is still the best option? Either way I would be happy with either, & when I say happy I mean ECSTATIC!

I would be happy with either of them. I also think that if we do get one it will go a long way in pleasing the fans.
Surely its harder to have a higher win percentage the more games you play? Like in cricket its why Sir Donald Bradman is not always considered the greatest ever cricket due to the lack of games he has played.
You didn't spend much time at school did you? Whether he's had 20 matches in charge or 2000 matches in charge, a win percentage is still the same. By your reckoning, SB would have to win something like 60-70 games and lose none so he could, A: increase the number of games in charge, and, B: increase his win percentage. And of he'd managed that, he wouldn't be out of work. I'm also certain age shouldn't matter since there's only 2 years between them. It's not like we're comparing SAF to Roberto Martinez! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?20zsip
Am I being ignored when I continue to say that McCarthy clearly isn't looking for a job so soon with his commitments as co-commentator for the BBC at the EUROs? Do the Allams want a manager who is then going to clear off for a month rather than sort the club out for the season ahead?
Big Mick does feature in "The Van" by Roddy Doyle - must be worth a few points. Also, didn't he have to play as a stand in keeper against us once at Boothferry Park?
"IF" he was the man, and like the big man said, it doesn't look likely, he'd do a bit of scouting. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?ef4y1o
Doh, I didn't know he was doing commentary, maybe then Clark will be favourite if Bruce goes to Wigan.
Your not being ignored but the fact he said near enough word for word that he wanted his next job lined up before the Euro's so he can go there with a plan already in place, or a structure ready for him to come back to.
Me too. In terms of comparing them I think they're very similar, they're both irritating, they're both 'big' names but not really amazing managers (by that I mean they were both recently sacked for doing terrible jobs with the money the spent) but both are better than anyone I expect to be City manager (though actually, I can't think of anyone I do expect to be manager).
City Independent claim their "sources" put Bruce & Mcarthy as the 2 names in the frame! Does anyone really have the slightest clue what is going on and who actually is in for the job????
No. Personally, I don't think I will be either of those two, if I had to pick two now, I'd go with Davies or Clark, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's someone no-one has mentioned at all yet(someone like Rosler from Brentford, who's name appeared out of the blue yesterday. Someone else suggested yesterday it's Henning Berg).
