I've just read Mick Jones' blog on the offish, and noticed he said he was at Nottigham Forest on tues, for their game with Leeds. It got me wondering whether he was looking at a player and then which player. So had a quick look at both squads and have come up with a shortlist of possible targets, imo. Lee Camp Luke Chambers Lewis Mcgugan Chris Gunter Just can't see us interested in anyone else from them. From Leeds I came up with Jonny Howson Luciano Becchio Robert Snodgrass. Is there anyone you'd add or is my list really not prem standard.As I say just my opinion.Course Mick might have fancied a night out at a match
Don't fancy any of them to be honest. There is definitely some talent in the championship to be found, but don't think anyone from either of these teams would strengthen our squad particularly.
Yeah Fair enough Cold, am only guessing and looking at the 2 squads I thought those were the best of them. Good init,2 years ago these would probably have been out of our league.
True, two years ago I would have probably said sign all up! All of them listed are good championship players.
Adam Clayton is a cracking young player who can score from midfield and would offer better competition for places than Buz and Derry.
We rejected a couple of bids from Norwich of about 2.5m and 4m for Snodgrass over the summer. Doubt he wants to leave really. Howson on the other hand is still negotiating a contract after two months of talks being initiated. Making noises about wanting Premiership football. He'd be the likely one to leave, I'd say.
Heard earlier in the season that we were looking at Howson. Snodgrass is quality as well, either would be good additions IMHO...
I think we should be looking for top-flight experience for the rest of this season, not potential.......
