And the profile of our Club. Just posted on another thread that this will raise our profile and answer the question that some players may have namely will they get seen whilst playing for Swansea and the answer is yes you will. Great news for Michu and even better for the Swans! Renegotiate ML and his teams contracts now ! Tie him down for longer!

Balls to his valuation, I'm loving the fact that he now knows that he won't need a big move away to be recognised for his national side.
In fact, it may make more keen on staying knowing that he's playing well for us and getting the recognition. If he were to move to a big side, he may not get the game time or form he's been in

Isn't it strange that we will now have 2 Spanish internationals, with another rumoured about, 3 Welsh internationals (ok, far lower profile I know) a South Korean international, and a Dutch international keeper, yet our English players don't get any recognition for their country?

Bang on SA, my take on it as well. Hodgson nows F all!! I think England have gone backwards when they appointed him.

Agreed, I think Harry would have had a bit more imagination.
Not our problem, but it would have been nice to see Dyer and maybe Leon get some recognition that they'll never get with the dinosaur in charge now

Which is exactly why England will never win another major trophy.

A star is born here at Swansea!! Michu has now got a run out for Spain, and it's what he deserves, seems there is no prejudice in the Spanish camp, unlike the prejudiced English camp, who have overlooked both Leon and Nathan Dyer, but it was what I expected with the Hodgson appointment, and Neveroffside is correct, England have indeed gone backwards with this appointment, had Stuart Pearce got the job, there would have been no doubt on both Leon an Nathan being in the England Squad!...................<ok>

Pushing up his valuation is a good thing as it will further detract clubs making an offer for him.

well deserved for our michu but its sad that Leon one of the best midfielders in the land don't even get a call up as a squad member let alone make the team....Its disgraceful attitude to welsh clubs players who are English... when we were in the old first division we did have latchford who made the English team but now they dont get a look in even though they get mentioned on all the sports programme's about how they are good enough for England..Bias i call it...

Agree with that. Sorry, I didn't mean to dis your point with my comment, I just meant that for me it's more relavant that he's got his recognition while still with us, so with a bit of luck his valuation won't come into play for a couple of seasons yet

The value aspect is of course very important to us, funds are not limitless even now, but hopefully in a few seasons here in the Premiership, and with all these great bargain buys, we shall see not only the player stock rise, but our club too! Many thanks to Huw and our Board, and King Laudrup ofcourse.............<cheers>
