No, I dont think so. He seems to have the hump a bit these last few weeks. Not sure where his favoured position is behind the strikers or playing off the shoulder of the last man
I had a whole article typed and somehow this website has made it disappear !! I think its a good thing that michu is having time out, the player needs a rest and is looking a bit fried , it will be a good chance for the team to try and play with Bony and not put everything through michu all the time. If we make Bony the main player and now structure it a bit different then it may freshen things up
Well I posted twice and it deleted my posts. Not me deleting this time!!! While I don't want Michu being out injured, I tend to agree with you Norway, with the players now having to play in Bony etc. Also will Poz now take his chance and play in his favourite position.
we need michu so its bad that he is out for a while...i dont care that he will miss the european game though as he is more important to us for the league..
It's a very good thing, as the lad works his socks off for us, and is passionate and committed, wish we had a team of Michu's, then we would not have lost on Sunday, He's well over due a deserved rest, and will come back focused and recharged. Bony is crying out for service, and if Laudrup plays Poz in behind him then he needs firm instructions to give him plenty of service, we are going to have to focus on our game and tactics in the final third, and we are going to have to get more supporting bodies in the mixer, so lets hope that the club, will regroup and come out all guns blazing for our next game, time we saw the real Swansea City!.... please log in to view this image
Michu is a central figure at Swansea. His importance is huge. Michus form hasn't been good for the last couple of matches. Hernandez is badly missed, Pozuelo needs to get started and take responsibility. Bony will now get time and space to show that he is the worthy heir to Drogba!
and it could give us another dimension to our game so michu doesnt have to play every game, although he does want to play every game but can keep him fresh also
I should have been the first respondent to this thread but my post disappeared!! Anyway, you guys have said it all by now and I fully agree with what you say. Just to add my bit anyway, Michu has been outstanding for us and he has earned and deserves his rest even if it has been forced. With any luck, he will return refreshed and raring to go. Meantime, Bony (with the extra games and the special training Laudrup today revealed he is getting), should have hit his straps ready to form a potent partnership with our special Spanish amigo.
So Bony is a project. Very interesting all this - I would love to know the things they are working on and what elements of his that they feel they need to work on. Why after all this time, now the start of Nov, two and a half months since the start of the Prem, is he still struggling with fitness, stamina, etc - would he not have caught up by now. Is it mental sharpness or physical sharpness or both. Is it technique. The positive thing about Michu being out is that everybody in the team will now have to pick up the slack. This is going to change the patterns we play. It's going to change the make-up of midfield. Alvaro for one is going to have to earn his spurs. Bony gets the chance to apply all the extra "help" he's going to be getting. Whatever they are doing to Bony, perhaps they should do it to Alvaro as well.
Showing my ignorance but what's this about special training? Oh and on Michu he's definitely been feeling the burden of carrying us lately. Laudrup said he'd had some "physical problems" that were added to by this injury so he's not been right but has played anyway. He needs a break and as others have said now is the time for Mr Bony to step up. It's about time he showed that he really is worth £12M.
Most people on this board agreed, when he was first signed, that a tally of 10-15 goals would be satisfactory for Bonys first season.
I did mention this the other day on another thread RE Bony yankee Last time Michu was injured we actually played more like a team if you remember. I love Michu like everyone but sometimes I feel the boy needs saving from himself . No doubt he wants to play every game but there is no point in him over playing and getting injured<coughs and wonders if that has happened already>. With Michu resting there is no other option and no hiding places for other players so they have to work for the openings and not take the soft option and pass to michu hoping he does something special. I also feel that when bony is on the field players prefer the pass to michu instead of Bony even though he has made the right run at the right time, its almost as if its like watching people pass it their mates instead of to the guy that should get it, that is just a personal view but I sometimes wonder about the Spanish clique and the taking of wrong options . Michu will only be back stronger, Bony is a wonderful finisher and a great striker of the ball,he is even better in the air which is a shame considering nobody apart from Pablo can cross properly! A good thing that Michu is out,if only for the player himself to get a bit of rest .
My comments as always, contain zero bullshit Dragon and the only thing around here fried is the egg on your face after predicting such a daft scoreline the other day!! ... Anyway don't go off bloody topic or you will feel the full force of the MODS !
