    So he's had a knee problem for weeks but played anyway. A very foolish decision imo and looks like he will pay the price. Let's hope we don't too.

    But as others have said, this may be a blessing in disguise. It's been clear to most of us he's not been himself of late and it's now clear that he's not been right physically and Laudrup has said as much.

    There are probably two reasons he hasn't been himself recently, (a) the injury (b) the partnership with Bony hasn't been working and there has been a suggestion of a Spanish stitch up. Just like in any workplace when a newcomer comes in, there are always teething problems.

    Over the last few weeks, in particular the West Ham game, I felt that Michu should be given a break/dropped or whatever you want to call it. He now has an enforced short term break and from a team point of view that may not be a bad thing.
