Having seen a few of his displays this season, does anyone else think that considering how little he cost he has been the best transfer signing so far this season. His performances have been outstanding, and god knows how many points he has added to Swansea's total already this year!
Welcome back hoopton. I think he could well end up at a big club if he continues his incredible form.
Great to see you back Hoopton, Vorm is probably the second best keeper in the league after Krul so far this season.
Vorm has been awesome, did win several points for them. Strong connections with the Dutch due to one of their chairmans John van Zweden. Next linked dutch player linked with a move to Swansea is Goossens. John van Zweden story with Swans is a real incredible story. Used to be a regular fan with an obsession for English football. But at school he was not very good in English , so the school proposed him to find a pen pall in the UK. He did end up with a fan from Swansea and went to some matches of them. When Swansea was rock bottom in League two and could not afford to pay the players salary at one point, his Swansea pall asked him if he would like to invest 50K into the club. John took out a loan and invested it in the club and became one of the three owners. 5 years later on see where it got him, Swansea are worth like 20 to 25 million now, thats proper investment, don't you think?
a true brilliant tale indeed Hammersmtih, his wife declared him insane at that point when he told her he invested 50K into an welsh football club. Good thing for him he first invested the money and then told his wife afterwards. Guess she will be happy right now and praise her husbands good sense of investment.
No special tale there North, visited LR in '93 and became a Rangers fan right away loved the atmosphere and Sir Les became my first favorite player of QPR. Unlike most Dutch football fans who support Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs in England i have chosen to support QPR even in the dark days of Division two and the almost bankruptcy. Supporting teams who win and have success in general is easy, people who stand by their team in worse times and many defeats make great supporters IMHO
Yep , its very small town like but nice to live in. Only thing QPR is missing is a good Dutch player unlike the likes of Koejoe and Dijkstra, maybe with the De Jong rumors we will have one soon.
