    Great stuff! That's an excellent read, cheers Bushman. Two points that I'd like to highlight though.

    1. ''So why wasn't he snapped up by Newcastle United?''

    He told me......

    It all sounds a bit familiar. <steam>

    2. ''I had trials with about 15 different clubs. They included Spurs, Arsenal, Villa and Man City. In the end I chose Cambridge United who were in the 2nd division. I joined them because I figured that I would get into the 1st team quicker than any of the other clubs I'd seen.......... by the age of 21 I had played 200 games. 100 with Cambridge and 100 with Brentford.''

    Due to the obsession with the filthy lucre. This won't ever happen nowadays.
