Anyone remember this fella. Thought he was to good for us And he used us in hope of a contract at bigger club ..... Currently without a club
I would take him back, on a short term pay as you play until January. If nothing else to cover pritchard.s injury
Wouldn't want him back as he has clearly shown what a mercenary he is, and I don't think that is really the ethos Powell has established here.
don't rate him he was one of a few faceless mercenaries on the books last season, believes his own hype and we're far better off without him would rather us go down the loan route if Alonso's not upto it
I wondered what happened to him or rather didn't in this case. Silly man clearly made it known that the Valley was merely a shop window and thought he was too good for us. I don't think that talk impressed Sir Chris. It didn't impress me. We have players who want to be here because they like the potential of building something or want to be working with Sir Chris. Kermit said in the News Shopper these reasons were both important to him and all our palyers. Spirit is so important. I think we have closed the shop and boarded up the window and thrown out the Manikins, ie other peoples dummies.
Strangely I was going to write this exact thread the other day! Other notable mentions go to Marcus Bent who is currently without a club, as is (for differing reasons) Yassin Moutaokil, whilst Zheng Zhi is playing for a team in China again (after stating his desire to not play in League One, and failing to impress with Celtic), whilst Leon McKenzie (great player but constantly injured) is on the transfer list at Kettering.
I imagine the problem, is that he was being choosy last summer, in terms of salary demands and level of football, and found that his dream move didn't happen! Doing a quick google, he's now on trial in Germany with Ingolstadt 04, in the German 2nd division.
With the vast number of billionaires in China these days (and increasing each year) I would by very surprised to see any Chinese players leaving to play abroad in future. Top Chinese clubs should be able to match any wages on offer in the West. On the contrary I would expect to see the world's top players approaching the end of the careers being enticed there to pass on their knowhow (as is happening in the Gulf but on a bigger scale).
He's "desperate" for a deal apparently. I have nothing against him though, good pro. He is a steady eddy though, not the kind of player they need to get them away from the bottom half.
feck him doesnt give a **** about cafc aparantly in talks with millwall what i here if he wanted a bigger club then how could no one come in for him ?says it all really not good enough for championship
What with Racon, they seem to be taking all our rejects. Hope they go down - sh1t team , scumbag ,brainless fans.
They also have Bouazza. And Darren Ward, but he was with them before us so we will cut them some slack there
