QPR youngster Michael Petrasso called-up to Canada’s provisional Gold Cup squad … Michael Petrasso named in Canada’s provisional Gold Cup squad 19 year-old winger in line for first senior international call-up Canucks to name final 23-man squad later this month R’S youngster Michael Petrasso has been called-up to Canada’s senior national squad for this summer’s Gold Cup. The 19 year-old, named in the provisional 35-man squad, will find out if he’s been selected when the final 23-man squad is finalised by Monday 22nd June. If selected, Petrasso – who represented Canada at the 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championships in January – will be in line for his first senior international cap. The Gold Cup, held every two years, determines the regional champion of North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The Canucks – co-hosting this year’s tournament with the United States – have been drawn in Group B alongside El Salvador (Thursday 9th July), Jamaica (Saturday 11th July) and Costa Rica (Wednesday 15th July).
