He retired in 2008(at the age of 25) after being released by some Irish team, for being too fat.

Never heard about Keane, I've heard of Will Keane is it his brother? And I know I've seen tunnicliffe play and been impressed with him, was he playing in the championship last season?

Think Tunnicliffe was at Peterboro last season and was one of their best players

All the hype I've heard was about Keanes brother Will the striker tbh whos gone and done his ligaments. Can't say I know too much about Michael. Tunnicliffe looked good for Pboro on the Football league show when I saw him.

Keane is a CB according to the Man Utd website who is an established reserve player under Joyce. You would assumed he's played a lot with Chester and will be Hobbs replacement until Xmas

Sounds promising on the players coming into the club.

There's always Cooper for back up.

    Any out goings, OLM?

Nothing I've heard about, I assume Bruce will get them in and take a look at most of them before making decisions about them.

I'm all happy bringing in all the man u youngsters but haven't they run out of decent youngsters? :D I've not heard of them two, unlike king, stewart, dudgeon and brady.
I suppose these would be loans? In theory it's good but only purchased. if you're going to buuy youth, ideally it's to keep, increase their skills and value over time. A loan is a bit pointless unless they are already at a good level.

I don't know what terms the deals would be on, but I'd assume they will be loans.

Very very good. Rated better than James Chester by many at O.T.

Shame his brother Will is out injured for 9 months. Will is a striker and the pair could have come to us. <grr>

Well as previous posters have already stated, Tunnicliffe looked to be Pboro's standout player in the championship last season. So i'm sure he could at least compete for a starting place with Evans/Koren (if he remains)/Cairney/Mckenna. Defensively admittedly I think i'd prefer a more senior pro alongside Chester until Hobbs is back, but I honestly don't know much about Michael Keane and would like to hear some Man U fans' views (I'm hoping that the adage if they're good enough they're old enough applies once again).

Please dont start that up again. We had it last time.

Player of the season i think ? Quality and will be a great asset to the squad.

Liam Cooper has the shirt for now and its who is best that partners Chester, imo. Jack Hobbs could be back sooner than planned if the rumour mill is correct. Hence why we have gone for M.Keane and not an experienced defender. I would still like Ant Gerrard if i am honest. He can score from corners which we lacked last season.

Am I right in thinking Tunnicliffe is a scruffy, tough-tackling midfielder rather than a creative type? If so we already have enough of those, Corry Evans being one. What we lack from deep in midfield is a bit of quality.
