graham turner is to sign on loan for 6 months, michael hector from reading. 20 yr old centre back was on loan last season to barnet playing 31 games scoring 2. both reading and barnet fans pleased with him. source b and a
Sky Sports say he is highly rated by Reading (and was wanted by several Championship clubs ) and is 6' 4'' but is noted for the way he plays the ball out of defence. This does look a promising signing and with a couple of defenders with niggles already we may need Hector sooner rather than later
......and don't forget..... hector = a person who teases, threatens, or hurts smaller or weaker persons......just what we need to give us a bit of bite. Let's hope his first appearance doesn't end up in a red card like last season's loanee!!!!
How true! 'cos unlikely we could afford him even if he was for sale. Goldson clearly needs more match time to see if he's the real deal.....and still not 20(?). Would be a pity if he gets to end of contract without a chance to impress; it's end of season isn't it?
Hector's on a six monther with us, assume we can extend it but I think they cant recall a player if it is a season long loan?
Goldson started last night and did not look out of place. Hector came on and was immediately exposed by Ashante-once inducing a foul and the other resulting in a shot which led to Zigic's winner. Too early to judge him,though, as he has only just arrived.
