He had him on loan from Wolves about ten years ago. He just got seven years for drug dealing... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ex-everton-striker-michael-branch-given-1425089
It's a pity the quality of his football wasn't as good as the quality of his Coke, he'd have been laughing.
He was in the programme on Tuesday and it was the first time I'd heard his name in nearly a decade London buses, eh
I didn't mind Branch we had just before we moved to the KC I had a chat with him in the premier club tent at BP. He was desperate to sign for us I'm sure he started at Everton I know he was a scoucer.
Did he score a couple against Scunny just after he first signed? Would of been about this time of year too, or am I thinking of someone else?
He scored three in seven games for us, two against Rochdale and one against Scunny(and it was at this time of the year).
Gary Alexander got the other goal against S****thorpe in a 2-0 win at BP. We'd rang rings round them but Brian Laws said they were unlucky. Good luck to Mr Laws in his new job by the way
I remember that match, didn' it piss it down as well and some naked bloke ran on the pitch after we scored the 2nd?
Yeah, the lads cock was ****ing huge,i mean it was swinging just above his knees. He escaped into the southstand and a few stewards tried to go after him. Of course they were discouraged, and he got away.
Some good photos here from Amber Nectar http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/2002/11/photo-special-boothferry-parks-last-derby/
was Rochdale Peter Taylor's first match as manager ? He stood in the middle of the pitch before the start and waved to everybody. We won 3.0 i think.
He was present at that match but it was Billy Russell who was in charge that day. Taylor was sat in the stands. He took over officially after that.
Ha! I'd forgotten all about that. It was ****ing freezing that night as well. Didn't he go down to the away fans wave is todger around then evade the stewards and disappear into the South stand?
Was he the one on loan from Wolves? If he was, then it's because of him that we have white nets at the KC rather than amber. AP (I think it was) had this idea of amber nets and Branch told him they'd tried it at Wolves and it was a massive failure because you couldn't see them at all, so we never did it. Useless fact of the day.
