Sunderland could be set to meet Manchester City's £5million valuation for Micah Richards (Telegraph) #SAFC #MCFC Yes please
We getting linked with a dif player every hour now lol. It's gone quiet on Chadli now though it seems. Was hoping to get him signed up..
mmmm yes please more players like this and we will surely be flying,he would have to take a big pay cut if he did come.
Always thought he carried a bit too much weight meself like which affected his fitness...probs me being a bit harsh tho!..
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-for-striker-Connor-Wickham-to-8-million.html Black Cats are also eyeing up Manchester City defender Micah Richards, following the capture of Jack Rodwell
Other than demanding £8m for Wickham, Sunderland are still trying to strengthen their own squad before the season starts. Having signed midfielder Jack Rodwell from Manchester City, Sunderland are also interested in taking defender Micah Richards from the Etihad Stadium. Richards only has a year remaining on his City contract and has been told he can find himself a new club. The 26-year-old can play at right back or in the centre of defence and had also been looked at by West Ham, before they signed Carl Jenkinson on loan from Arsenal. It is thought City are demanding around £5 million for Richards, who will have to take a cut to his £70,000-a-week wages. Richards has been hit by a series of injuries over recent years, but still harbours ambitions of getting back into the England squad. 100% yes to this
Yes, play him CB, exactly what we need. Would be another next level signing. He won't get anywhere near what he's on now wherever he goes. We'd need to make him one of our top earners but I've no problem with that considering JoS will drop off the wage bill at the end of the season. Get him in on a long contract. Edit. If he's only on 70k with Citih then this is more than doable.
Yes please £5m is a snip when you consider Vermaelen just went for £20m (Borini £14m + wages) Richards for £5m and Sinclair for £3m = £8m with £6m left over to cover their wages . Im convinved there are deals out their where we could strengthen a few positions for what we are willing to pay for Borini.
Those two and wickham signing a new contract would be us sorted i think. Only thing is that City will be so low on english players that they'd be reluctant to let both leave surely?
Boyata? The Belgian defender? Know nowt about him, seems to have been around forever though. Agree about being their feeder club. There's worse teams.
