Anyone know what we got for him? Pretty sure he had a year or so left on his contract? I rated him as a squad player at least

I just remember the run of games he had before he crocked himself the first time and he looked quite a canny player

Another Campbell IMO. Good player before the injury , never quite the same afterwards.

Good luck to the lad. Both lads if FC goes too.

A bit like Campbell for me and much the same as you Quinninho. I have a lot of time for Meyler but I think he's squad at best now m big pity IMO as he's a good clad but no room for sentiment in football

Meyler and Campbell are cracking lads and I will wish both well if they both go.

Meyler deserves his chance at Hull and best wishes to a lad still tweeting Haway the lads to everyone here.

£1.5m is a decent return on a lad who has played a handful of games in 2 years and if Campbell joined him there, or elsewhere, I'd say the very same about him too

Good luck to him. Never had the best of luck and he deserves a bit of good fortune.

Good bit of business for all concerned I think. Meyler took a while to get going with us, he was obviously not match fit. But he's come on quickly and the last few games he's looked like the final piece of the jigsaw in our Irish midfield. We are unbeaten since he has been in the starting XI.

Given the impact he's had I can only say that you must have some real talent in midfield or you are leagues above us.

Actually, you are a league above us ... but hopefully not next season.

I'm liking this link up with Hull..

Canny little club, Bruce is doing them well, and could take them up.

Also doing us a favour in taking the trio (hopefully), they will all serve them well, but their days at SAFC are up.

Well Campbell will be the hardest one to convince to come here. He had the option of signing with us before after we went up and chose you all instead. By all accounts he has always thought that he was better than us and certainly thinks he is better than the Championship. Our only chance is the fact that we are 2nd place and we dont even have a striker. Hopefully he sees that as a golden opportunity to take us up and become a regular PL starter. I would say there is probably less than a 50% chance that he joins us.

I think that letting Meyler go is a mistake...In my opinion all he needed was a run of games in the first team to get back to his best...For 1.5 million Hull have got a hell of a deal..

I agree MrRAWhite, I think it's a mistake we might regret.. Never forget his performance against Man city, had their superstars in his back pocket

I agree with MrRAW on this one, and it's really highlighted by this post:

Not at all mate! In fact I would genuinely say that, with catts injured, I believe we have the weakest CM pairing in the prem. Absolutely baffling we didn't give meyler a chance to get back to his best imo but there we go...

    Good move by all accounts.

I have a feeling, he got more popular the longer he was out for. was never gonna be a world beater. Never gonna be week in week out premier league standard.

He gave us his all, and best of luck to him.

Lets just hop Hull has a Nando's
