In case anyone is interested. I have just received an E Mail from Ticketmaster, tickets are now on sale for the above game
Tickets in the Wales fan area are $50 + tax which makes them just short of $60, about 40 quid.
The stadium is very close to Liberty Airport. Game kicks off at 3 00pm, overnight flights back to the UK usually leave about 8pm and get in around 6am.
A good way to finish off a few days in New York

DPJ - Continental is the direct airline into Newark. They leave from Heathrow and possibly Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester.

    I'll be there.

That's a holiday weekend here, don't ask me which one I haven't learnt them all yet, I'll have to check into the price of flights from the west coast and back as it's a bit of a drive. :emoticon-0105-wink:

It's Memorial weekend, so my wife tells me. I've flown Continental a few times to Bristol, not sure if it is still running as I was looking at flights over for the end of June and there were none to Bristol. Flight prices look high at the moment but keep checking daily especially Tuesdays when they tend to drop especially closer to the date as they need to get bums on seats. If you find a low price bookmark it as if you go off it and go back on it will have gone up again, go back to the bookmark and it will be the same price.
Might be better to trawl the travel sections in the Sunday papers and get a flight and Hotel deal as well as the airline sites. Shouldn't be a problem getting a ticket in the Welsh end lol not too many of us around here. Probably be outnumbered by the Mexicans though by about 1000 to 1. Anybody coming over keep me informed, could always meet up for a piss up.

I'll be there, I'll be there. With my little pick and shovel I'll be there. When the sun shines from the Rhondda, Bloddwyn, with my little pick and shovel I'll be there.
With my Swans shirt on, ok last years, this years not on sale over here yet and not been to the Liberty this year yet to get a new one, but I'll be there. Hope we can meet up yankee Jack and anyone else who is coming over.

US Air is currently offering the best round trip tickets to Philadelphia from London or Manchester. From Philly take an Amtrak train to Newark; Simple, direct and pretty cheap. New Jersey transit may also run trains into Philly.

Seeing this has a semi nationalistic ring to it , was just reading an article about the Swans having a five page feature in the French magazine " L'Equipe Magazine " on Saturday . Some guy named Erik Bielderman spent 3 days in Swansea , then wrote the article . Hitting the coast of France tomorrow .

Yeah, there are some areas of NJ where the crime rate can be high mostly near NY and Philly and I live no where them. NJ is twice the size of Wales, 46% forested, has more horses than Kentucky and not called the Garden State for nothing, everything grows here with no need of a greenhouse. A Mediterranean climate, hot summers, skiing in winter, fantastic beaches, wildlife areas, great golf, vineyards and the biggest problem on the roads where I live are Deer!

A few of us have spoken about going out to New York - its in the pipe line but it would be amazing to go. How many welsh fans do you actually think would go?

Something I've been wondering - to any fans living abroad - has the Swans being in the Premiership raised the profile of the country as a whole? Have we picked up many new fans for any other reason than simply being on the telly? I was wondering if something discussed a while back (the first Welsh team in the Premiership recruiting any ex-pats with no club allegiance to show footie on big screens etc) was coming true? I'd be particularly interested in the reaction in Australia and America, where I'd imagine we have more ex-pats.
