Best Driver:Max.. Vettel 2nd Worst Driver: Going Bottas again. Might seem harsh, but that seat is wasted on him. Luckiest Driver: Not sure Unluckiest Driver: Ricciardo and the amazing exploding RBR. Closely followed by Alonso. Best Rookie/New Driver: Leclerc! Best Team: RBR. Surprise Team: RBR. Worst Team: Haas. Shocking Best Overtake: Vettel on Ric... I think. Don't recall that many. Most Surprising Result: Clean race from both Max and Vettel Least Surprising Result: Ricciardo going up in smoke. Funniest moment: Swearing Mexicans when Perez conked out. Excuse of the week: Pirelli. They're an excuse of a tyre. Special Mention: Hamilton. 5x WDC. He's up there with the legends now. Impressive stuff. Good finish for Hulk. Best post in race thread: Mine Race Rating: 2/10
Best Driver: verstappen. When he's on it he is king. Scary if he can master it when he gets a championship car. Worst Driver: Bottas. His whole season has been bad. Luckiest Driver: Raikkonen. Somehow got a podium for not doing anything Unluckiest Driver: Alonso. Looking at vandoorne and what might have been. Best Rookie/New Driver: LeClerc Best Team: Red Bull. Surprise Team: Renault Worst Team: Williams Best Overtake: Vettel on Hamilton had some meaning behind it. Most Surprising Result: Mercedes tyres Least Surprising Result: ricciardos car exploded Funniest moment: Excuse of the week: verstappen. Q3 was crap. Special Mention: Hamilton securing his 5th Best post in race thread: Race Rating: 7/10 Not sure why people didn't enjoy it. I thought it was an ok race.
Because there was a whole lot of tootling around protecting tyres, and no real meaningful battle up front. It could have been great!
i think the funniest moment was when one of the drivers at the back shouted "This is ridiculous, everybody is driving around too slowly." hahaha...and that was a race...lol
You've nominated him at practically every race for this!! His his car avoidance management is lacking.
Best Driver: Verstappen. On it all weekend. Worst Driver: Bottas. Slow and 3 stopped(I think) Luckiest Driver: Raikkonen. Somehow got a podium for not doing anything Unluckiest Driver: Ricciardo. Unreliability hampers a good result again. Best Rookie/New Driver: Leclerc, though none are really rookies anymore Best Team: Red Bull. Surprise Team: Renault Worst Team: Haas. Finished below Williams and off the pace all weekend. Best Overtake: Hamilton on Raikkonen around the first three corners. Didn't have to do it but still wants to race. Most Surprising Result: Vandoorne and Ericcson both scoring Least Surprising Result: Ricciardo retiring Funniest moment: Vandoorne complaining about cars going too slowly Excuse of the week: Special Mention: Hamilton 5x WDC Best post in race thread: Race Rating: 5/10 Not a classic but it did have some overtakes. WDC result was a formality which maybe took the edge of it?
I didnt vote Ricciardo as it was too obvious. So obvious we all knew it was going to happen and even started a pre race thread on it. So obvious even Dan knew it was going to happen. Not unlucky, just the expected.
Max Verstappen won the Mexican Grand Prix in commanding style, on the same Sunday Lewis Hamilton wrapped up his fifth Formula 1 World Championship a feat which the Dutchman believes any of the top drivers would have been capable of had they a Mercedes at their disposal. Speaking to Blick after his mighty win in Mexico, Verstappen was asked what made Lewis Hamilton such a force in Formula 1, to which the 21-year-old replied without hesitation: “His car!” And added, “Of course he is extremely good. But even Vettel can win in his car, Ricciardo can also win in his car – and I can win titles in his car.” Can somebody tell Max to win a title first or just shut up!!! Just sitting in a Mercedes wouldnt make you win a title, You have to perform at the sharp end. Vettel and Kimi had equal machinery, they had a car much better on tyres and Bottas had the same car. Lots of people have high grade tools, does that make them all carpenters or technicians? That little runt needs to stop. And what does he mean by "EVEN Vettel can win in his car???" That sounds as though he is belittling Vettel's ability. Max needs to prove himself under pressure...he hasnt done a good job under pressure as yes...did he check how many mistakes he made this year?
Best Driver: Leclerc Worst Driver: Probably Hartley or Bottas Luckiest Driver: Danny bogging down gave Max the win Unluckiest Driver: Alonso, had the awareness to miss the accident, but it still ended his race Best Rookie/New Driver: Leclerc Best Team:hmm I'll go with Sauber, best of the rest (RBR only had 1 car finish due to their own ineptitude, again, so Ferrari scored more points) Surprise Team: The RBR pace Worst Team: Haas Best Overtake: Vettel on Ricciardo, he takes his life in his hands overtaking either RBR that I wonder if it's not a team order. Most Surprising Result: Ericsson's defending against Perez, such a surprise Least Surprising Result: Ricciardo's RBR giving up before the finish line Funniest moment Vandoorne complaining everyone is too slow Excuse of the week: Special Mention: Ericsson, Verstappen, Vandoorne, Vettel. Best post in race thread: Race Rating: 7/10 if you ignore the front there were plenty of overtakes and action, shame about the winner
yep, he's a titanium cast one. I imagine having so many tongues cleaning his arse from a young age, combined with his paternal DNA, hasn't really helped, it's a bad mix.
I'd hoped that it wouldn't be this way, but I've lost patience with him this season. I don't see him changing.
I agree, and every time he wins a race his head gets bigger. He is lucky that Danny's car was failing so much...The runt needs to win several more races before he classes himself alongside or above world champions....he has never been there so he need to shut his trap. I mean, Ricciardo beat him in qualifying and he almost had a meltdown...could you imagine if that was a championship he was fighting for? I really respect Vettel and how he took his defeat this year. Could you imagine how Max would be behaving?
By the way, does Max believe Hamilton would have given him those easy passes if he were fighting Hamilton for the Championships? lol Hamilton gave way to Max simply because Max wasnt in the fight...something Vettel should have done a few times recently. Max will find out the hard way that fighting for a championship is not as easy as he thinks.
