Well folks, got pissed off trawling my usual dozen or so sites, bored with reading all the GYAN ****e, so decided to put myself on a real downer, we have a rule in our house, she dont play Metallica, when Im in, and I dont play Nine Inch Nails when shes in. and it works,we still dont TALK, but then again theres no arguements, happy days. the theory being that i would be so pissed off with Metallica, everything else would seem rosy, but if you think life as a rock star is all tarts dosh and good times, think again, If you dont like em, delete. if you do like em [sic] enjoy. http://documentaryheaven.com/metallica-some-kind-of-monster/ nice to be an engineer after all. never fealt better. good old Metallica.
Cheers Bill will be watching that, one of the best bands ever. Whiskey in a jar-by metallica is my ringtone. How to take a good song and make it great. as i was going over, the cork and kerry mountains.
Agree with Chunky more a Clash man saw them at Newcastle City Halls in the early 80's first ever gig pure Class.
Got every album by both, same goes for Metallica, via my missus, and the Clash because its good in the car on a decent run, which all of mine are, apart from my albums, tapes , c d stuff, Ive got 1.1 terrabite of music, quite a decent collection, so you name it if its older than a year I probably have got it, but a band you may or may not like, and an old fav of mine and my sons `HAWKWIND` great on stage. AND IF YOU WANT TO EMERGE MY COLLECTION INTO YOURS, HOME IN AUGUST.
Sabbath man meself. Best gig I ever saw though was Judas Priest supported by the original line-up of Iron Maiden (Paul DiAnno on vocals). Marvellous...
Bill with out Hawkwind we wouldn't have IMO the Living Legend warts, Sideburns and all that is Lemmy. How Motorhead aren't bigger and richer is something of a mystery to me.
Not into them old heavy rock bands from about 85 years ago, but found this cover from Zeppelin, of an older even song which i thought was ok. http://youtu.be/JMp0z8KLU7Y
Sabbath for the win. Followed by Made in Japan by Purple, had to re-burn the CD with Smoke on the Water on twice now, as it gets so much stick in the cars auto changer.
All those bands we covered in history, (when I was at school), I never realised that gramerphones had such a wide choice of music. Thanks to all contributors for making me feel young again, try this one it's one of my favourites but you old fellas will just reckon it's noise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOOcJobuZTc
