    As with the Manure v Barca final a few years ago, Messi shone, Ronaldo was anonymous!

    Ronaldo may well "be faster, be better at freekicks, be a better finisher, be a threat in the air, be better in distribution" (I disagree by the way) but that means **** all, because Messi is greatest footballer the world has ever seen!

    I agree that Ronaldo is faster and better at free-kicks (though 9/10 of his are dire), but Messi's the better finisher. They're about the same regards aerial ability and distribution.

    To be honest I think Ronaldo is as good as Messi, he has a better all round game. Messi would look lost in any other team, just as he did with the Argies. Ronny has been the star for 3 clubs and his country. At the minute Messi is untouchable, but even Leon Best would score goals with Xavi, Iniesta and Pedro around him..............maybe not!

    IMO Ronaldo wasn't a star before he went to United (he just had a lot of potential) YES he has since stared for both Manure and Real...So 2 of the greatest teams in the world...I personally don't think that argument sticks.

    As for the international argument...Neither have been able to replicate their club form for their country!

    I honestly think Messi will be recognized as the greatest player ever! He is currently on a par with Maradonna/Best (at club level) but he'll have the longevity that neither of them did!

    If Messi manages to inspire a Argy WC win then that would be it sewn up!

    On a par with Best?! I hope you're joking, he's nowhere near that level. Best has score 6 goals in 11 starts for a mid-table side this season!
