    The prosecutor in the case said absolve messi and give father 18month... the prosecution mind.

    So judge goes and does his own thing... Hmmm

    Basically because he's a multi-millionaire footballer and sporting / national icon the law doesn't apply to him like it would to anyone else, barring Pistorius, high-up politicians and CEOs and a lot of priests
