basicly it was a pen ..messi just taps it forward to suarez and he scores ... so barca did not score a pen its classed as a missed one
Aye, its the one where the penalty taker nudges it forward and to the side and another player comes up and then hits it. Henri and Robert Pieres tried it a a few years ago but cocked it up. This time Messi laid it off to Goofy who scored. Not really in the spirit of the game though, although since when did Suarez ever play within the spirit of the game? <bites, handballs, moans> That's if there is a spirit left in the game, btw.

I could see Steve McLaren perfecting this on the training ground. The penalty taker, whomever it may be, runs up, rolls the ball forward for Steve Taylor to boot who... ...handles the ball.

Then again I am still bitter from hitting the post when younger (only penner I ever missed), calmly bleezing in the rebound, only to have it chalked off as no one had touched the ball. I knew about the rule but in the heat of the moment with adrenalin pumping, I did not agree. I expressed my views on it in my typical ****ish fashion.
Dont know why there is any controversy over this. Perfectly within rules. Pretty stupid thing to do as you probably increase odds of scoring significantly. Dont know why defenders dont just force themselves in front of attackers on edge of box and then impede attackers if this happens. Think ref would then have to give a free kick outside area.
Its because some people hate entertainment. Anything different is to be hated. They are clearly being disrespectful. What? They just took a pen in a perfectly legal manner. You have to get into the penalty area before you can have a penalty mate, it states it clearly in the rules.
Mitrovich should of had one against Chelski it was inside the box yet the ref wasn't watching (or prefered not to give it) a bit like you Blind eh!
