The amount of time Messi gave the ball away today clearly shows he was under pressure and the penalty miss, Ronaldo never cracks under pressure, how many times did we see Ronaldo at United and at Real Marid when he's not playing well and his team is losing, he still produces a moment of magic and score's a goal. I have always said this, i know many people might disagree but the only thing which makes Messi look better then Ronaldo his his dribbling, when the ball is with messi, its like its glued to his feet.
this is the most ****ing stupid thing i've ever heard, this coming from a united fan, even though Messi has scored twice against you in 2 finals? god some of you manunited fans are so ****ing stupid.
its my opinion, i believe Ronaldo's different to Messi in different ways but like i said at dribbling and not giving the ball away too much, Messi is the best in the world at it
who cares about you're opinion, as Benitez would say, let's look at the FACTS. in TWO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS (one of which included Ronaldo) he has scored against you, and his goals led to his team wining the Champions League. Give me a break, he has a bad game, and all of a sudden he cracks under pressure? I guess we should just ignore all the success Barca have been getting over the years thanks to Messi, yes, just because they don't win in Europe again means Messi is so sh!t all of a sudden.
did i say messi was rubbish? no.. Messi is still the best player in the world but i would take Ronaldo over him not only because he's a United great because i love watching Ronaldo play, in this article im saying is that when under pressure Messi doesn't play good ( e.g today's game and remember inter millan beat them 2 seasons ago? did messi have a good game there? ), he loses the ball too much which we don't see when he's not on pressure, if you don't care about my opinion then why you commenting? Messi is the best player in the world i agree, his dribbling is the best.
and please don't mention that scum's name " benitez ". thats rich its coming from you, When you beat barca last year, didn't some of you say Nasri was better then Messi?
HA, anyone who said Nasri was as good as Messi was talking as much **** you are right now calling Messi a choker. HELLOOOOO, MESSI SCORED IN TWO WINNING FINALS AGAINST MANCHESTER UNITED, THE TEAM YOU SUPPORT. Good God where are all the other sane Manunited fans to come clean this mess up?
Barce were simply the better team for years until Mourinho finally started to get the balance sorted in the Real team (their defense is still very shaky though), every time the two teams have met this season Real should of been out of sight within the first half an hour if not for terrible finishing, usually from Benzema.
Messi's been sick all week, you could see that he was not looking 100%. Any player can have an off day, it's actually scary how good Messi is even when he's playing badly.
Ronaldo missed a pen in the final against Chelsea, does that make him a bottler? The following season against Barca, Ronaldo let his ego take over and tried to win the match on his own with a very greedy, even by his standards, display. I dont see why people need to put one of Messi or Ronaldo down to try to exalt the other. It is a privilege to watch both players, just enjoy.
Arsenal87 You talk about it as if this is a completely ludicrous thing to do, comparing Ronaldo to Messi. If Mourinho guides RM to a CL trophy and La Liga title, I reckon it's fairly odds-on that CR7 scoops WPoTY award. Nobody is saying Ronaldo is a better player, in fact I don't even agree with the OP, but it's not as ridiculous as you're making it out to be. Bitterness is best served with a timely reminder of what we think of your greatest hour...Whilst you remember Thierry Henry as a legend, we remember him as the guy who was flapping at the ball 1-on-1 in the final vs a Messi-free Barcelona back in 2006.
I don't think Arsenal87 was having a go about comparing Ronaldo to Messi, that's always going to happen. I think he's having a go at stating "Messi crascks under pressure, Ronaldo doesn't" based on one game. Messi is phenominal, the number of big games he's scored in and sometimes seemingly won by himself is proof enough that he doesn't crack under pressure. Neither does Ronaldo though, but both have had bad games here and there.
