This Canadian guy finds a message in a bottle dating back to 1906 - breaking the current record by 10 years. http://globalnews.ca/news/834921/century-old-message-in-a-bottle-found-in-tofino/ What did the message say? We don't know because the incurious **** won't open the bottle. The outside of the envelope shows the date and details of the trip that was being made when the bottle was thrown into the sea. This irritating man won't open the bottle to see if there's anything inside the envelope. I want to punch him in his smug mug.
"Thurber did not want to open or break the bottle, but was able to make it out through the see-through glass that the note was dated September 29, 1906 and was signed by Earl Willard" Where can one purchase this miraculous material?
Canadians are hardly well know for their sense of adventure. Still, anyone who finds something like this and isn't even curious about the contents is clearly suffering from a mental illness.
I'm away to the Clyde. Got a piece of paper with September 28, 1906 printed on it and an empty irn-bru bottle. Not got a glass one, do you think I could get away with using a plastic one?
He can only make out what's written on the envelope through the glass. If you watch the video, they say that there may be something inside the envelope but we'll never know because this prick won't open it. P.S. They don't say the italicized bit in the video - that's my comment.
Thanks. I'll go ahead with this now. Look out for me on STV news at 6. Hopefully I'll be able to convince Kat to head down to Cooccaddens with me for 7pm.
