http://www.skysports.com/football/n...r-window-grades-premier-league-business-rated Thinking he is being harsh on us, did he expect us to buy a new starting 11? He says Huth is a good signing the criticises those who kept us up...Huth was in that team! I'd say we've strengthened in the right areas and would have put us higher than the likes of Spurs who he has marked the same
Bizarre. I'm over the moon with our transfer activity. We have made some extremely shrewd signings and brought in some real quality. I'd be amazed if we are anywhere near the bottom 3 come the end of the season....
Soo ... Petr Cech is better than all our signings... Though he did say that the Dyer deal was one that was outstanding on deadline day.
He gave Villa a better score than us! They've lost last season's only two decent players and replaced them with a lot of unproven players.
Odd, Merson & whoever was doing SSN with him, both chose our signing of Dyer as the signing they were most impressed with. He was the only pundit who backed us to beat the drop when we were bottom & has spoke highly of us this term. If we are happy with our signings & Claudio is happy, that's all that matters really. We had a good squad, we've added some extra quality without wholesale changes. Our signings will hopefully integrate seamlessly, without causing disruption but will give us options for formation & further strength in depth.
I do think he should've given West Ham a better score too. Payet alone is a fantastic signing and then when you add Alex Song, Victor Moses and Antonio ontop of that it looks a strong squad.
Nowt against Mers, but he´s just another ex pro keeping their head above water after hanging up his boots. What he´s done is pointless imo. I guess he can have an opinion, but it´s all irrelevant. "COME ON VARDY"
Im very happy with our business So far N'Golo Kante and Shinji Okazaki look to have fitted into our style of play perfectly. We know what Robert Huth brings from last season as he played a major part in our great escape Gokhan Inler is a top class midfielder and a great replacement for Cambiasso Fuchs is the Austria captain and a massive improvement on Konchesky Nathan Dyer is a proven Premier League winger and adds depth As I've said I'm still very skeptical about Benalouane but prepared to give him time before making a judgement
It's actually kind of a shame we haven't seen many of them yet. Only Okazaki of the most recent signings has played a considerable number of games, though I expect we'll see more of Fuchs and Inler etc. as the season goes on. The transfers themselves may not be that impressive until you consider how far the full squad has improved.
Why should any of the new signings play at the mo, except Okazaki ? Do you want to change things for no reason ? The `tinker´ man ain´t doing what most thought & now people are having a little moan, strange. Fuchs, Inler, Benalouane, Kanté & Dyer must just work hard & wait for their chance.
If i was being really picky the only thing I would have wanted us to do is sign a right back. Danny Simpson is crap and De Laet is only good enough for back up not first choice
I think that's pretty much my thoughts too. Would love to see Inler introduced into the first sooner rather than later.
Be surprised if Vardy plays against Switzerland, think he may get a run-out against San Marino tonight as a sub. So far this season though he's got a better claim ti start than any of England's squad, but we know Rooney won't be dropped and media darling Harry Kane is almost certain to start.
B- is a fiar result. We've bought in a lot but still lost Cambiasso and have failed to bring in a right back and another winger.
Merse has us down to finish 13th in his table prediction. I'd be happy somewhere in that region, I'd like the ride to be a bit... a lot less stressful than last year though
