You used to be able to walk from Cabo Roig Marina, along the coast, to where the Thursday market is held, but the route was shut off in a dispute over access rights. I saw a report saying that the route was to be reopened, following a court case, but it wasn’t when I checked a few weeks back.
I’ve been working my way along the coast and have now covered the walks from the south end of Campoamor to the north end of La Mata, obviously not in one day.
Have to plan how far I walk as I always have to go back to where I have left the car.
I want to try to walk from La Mata to Guardamar at some point, probably splitting it into two separate trips, and then from Guardamar to La Marina. I’ve already walked from Guardamar as far as the small marina just south of La Marina and walked the La Marina coastal walk (which isn’t too long). Also done Santa Pola. Got to fill my days rather than spend too much time on my backside, although I tend to bin the walks during summer and stick to swimming.
