Merry Christmas chums!!! Thanks for giving me a place to talk F1 away from the chaos, and thanks for putting up with my ramblings. Love being able to share F1 with you all each season. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas, manage to stay covid free and get so see your friends and family! All the very best for 2022 to you all! Cheers!
Merry Christmas from the southern hemisphere. Summertime Christmas is all messed up as far as I'm concerned. Example - right now the radio is playing jingle bells... "dashing through the snow on a 1 horse open sleigh". Outside it's a scorcher. 26 degrees and sunburn time.
Happy Christmas all . Hope you and yours have lovely and safe holiday period . Here’s to a better year for all of us
Happy Christmas all from drizzly Buckinghamshire. Here's to a fair season next year where everyone knows what the rules are. Nah, that doesn't sound like F1. Here's to the usual mayhem.
Hi, On Xmas and weather, this was my walk on boxing day. The cliffs are but a short walk from where I live. It was towards the end of a rather sunny and warm (for winter) day here in the Channel Islands. I walk past the house that Jenson Button bought, most days, although he sold up because his then lady didn't like the Channel Islands. Andy Priaulx is of course a Guernsey man. I stumbled upon the charm of the Channel Islands while sailing.
Now Christmas is done, anybody else just counting the days until racing returns? Gunna be a long few months.
We should at least see the cars in Feb. I don't think they are doing live tv on the testing this year maybe just highlights?
I am grateful for the break actually. Let the emotions die down, both within the F1 cicus and with the fans. I am looking forward to the clarification of the regulations as a first step in determining the mood for next years racing. My reading of Lewis is he wants to come back but needs a break for his emotions to reduce, time will tell. Indy will do for the interim, plus lots of personal stuff ahead to distract me.
Really, thats odd, a year of change, maybe they want to have the fans gagging for the racing to start.
I think that is what I read, that the coverage isn't live but that may have changed? Maybe they are concerned someone has made a big mistake but then again that's good TV! It does seem weird not to start building the tension and making a show out of testing. Maybe that's why it could be "highlights" so they can edit it to look more interesting?
