I sat staring in hope in the south africa road end like a child waiting for the blue touch paper to be lit!! alas no fireworks from my beloved hoops. this I hasten to add has been the case on my previous visits! in the first half we were awful and that's putting it politely! on this forum I read post regarding 'clueless' should go or be sacked, I took it as the minority of QPR fans, however that is not the case! everywhere I went around the ground during and after the game I heard echos of Sparky must be sacked or were down! at half time the whole of SA road stand started booing and I felt depressed that it had come to this. I'm not a MH's fan and think he's destroying my club! after last seasons escape and the 'we will never be in this position again as long as I'm manager' Quote to all and sundry Well Sparky we are and you should do the honourable thing and resign, NOW! In the second half we improved a tad and scored, however every time Reading came near our box or had a corner or free kick I shuddered. if a poor team like Reading can make our defence look crap, then IMO we ain't gonna survive ( and I backed us to finish top ten ) every time Adle moved up the wing he was gesturing to certain players to move up and support him to no avail, why? theres something wrong in the dressing room or have we to many Mercenaries who don't give a F@@K about QPR! I think TF after what he heard today from the R's fans will have a serious think about our sinking ship!
Bit harsh on the mercenaries. They're just doing a job and DJ apart none are Rangers fans afaik. They play for the money, self esteem, the adulation and for their team mates. Hughes is a different matter, he's paid to manage and has failed badly. Steve Kean with a Welsh accent and bad attitude. I have respect for Steve Kean for how he handled himself, Hughes isn't fit to polish that man's shoes.
The fact that we have so many mercenaries is one reason why MH is so ineffective as a manager. Yes he's meticulous, he prepares, attention to detail, every player has a set task which they must stick to for 90 mins etc. but our mercenaries couldn't give a s*** about all that. They probably think his training sessions are a waste of time. The result is what we see on the pitch week in week out.
Don't agree with this. I saw plenty of effort yesterday but most of it was misplaced due to poor tactics. We regularly had Cisse, Mackie and Hoilett all running away from the ball when Granero or Taarabt were looking to move us up the pitch. One player can make such runs but if they all do it you end up with a huge gap between midfield and attack as we saw yesterday. This is just poor tactics IMO.
