A lot of work is done with pro football teams these days with sports psychologists, mostly regarding keeping a positive mental attitude, it appears this should permeate through some of our fans as well? What if we lose? then we might lose again and what if we lose some more, we could fall apart and it could all go wrong?? Oh my God the negative possibilities are endless.. Or is more productive to think, if we win this game then not lose the one after we will have almost completed the job we have worked so hard to achieve and now deserve, I'm going to mentally prepare to be a winner in my mind and that is more likely to produce a positive effect rather than a negative one! I hope the players have more faith in their proven abilities than some of our fans do. People keep wondering why we keep ****ing this stuff up? Well whats the saying about preparing to fail. if we expect to lose, why wouldn't we?
**** that, if we don't go up I'm blaming the board for sacking Denis Smith over the refusal to sell Andy Cole situation. And that was only because he had the audacity to say he wanted sell on clauses.
Squeaky bum time for me. If we fail to beat Swindon, Preston will have their game in hand back - and playing us on Saturday. We absolutely MUST win tomorrow. A draw or (God forbid) a defeat is not enough if we want to go up as champions. Not promoting a losing mentality - just stating how important these next few games are. They will sort the men from the boys.
Trouble is (and I perfectly understand it!) that MUST win attitude, spills over from the stands to the players. I just hope we don't scare them out of form, the atmosphere needs to be caustic tonight against them, (rather than silently awaiting it all to go wrong!) they're cheats and we should let them know it! The pushing incident against Cooper this weekend nobody has seemed to notice that it was a Swindon player who barged the Dons player in to his manager in the first place, it was off the ball and sneaky. I so want to beat them badly tonight myself..
