Aberdeen used to have a defender called Doug Rougvie, who was a bit agricultural in his approach. At the ECWC Final against Real Madrid in Gothenburg, the crowd had a banner `Rougvie never lets a daygo by`. Couldn`t do that these days, I suppose !

When Keegan was with Saints, every home game was a banner in the East Stand saying "Du bist Wunderbar!"

It was a few seasons ago now.
Verona visited Napoli early on in the season, Napoli were subjected to racism at the hands of the verona supporters, as is common for matches between teams from the north against teams for the south.
For the return fixture, Napoli arguably were even more heinous in their revenge. Hitting the whole city of Verona right where it hurt, with a large banner reading...
    Juliet was a bitch.

Been told it was a mate's banner.
1976 FA Cup final amid all the union unrest:

"Channon Strikes Faster than British Leyland"
