I was thinking today about all the Liverpool memorabilia that I no longer have, mostly because it got thrown out when it was too small or got quite old, replica shirts and training tops etc. There's one from around 1993-1995 that I wish I still had, a black training jacket, from when we had Carlsberg and the three stripes of adidas on either side of the jersey front. But there's also a few scarves and posters that I would be pleased to own if I had them today. This got me thinking, do you hoard your LFC stuff or is there a particular item that you wish you'd kept hold of, and if you didn't how did it slip your grasp? Equally if you've kept it all for fifty years post about that here too.
Since no one else has answered... I have a few bits and bobs from when I was younger, plus a couple of bits from the last few seasons too. I have some 1980's shirts from when I was between six and eight years old, I have a mirror with Anfield imprinted on it (nightmare to use), a picture of Anfield (that the mrs won't let me put up), a Torres shirt stashed away, a few 1990's shirts including a keeper top, etc. I also used to have a Kenny Dalglish player-manager game from when I was about ten but I don't know what happened to that. When I was about twelve, I made a 'corner of honour' with all this stuff displayed
Bloody hell, you were still wearing things your Ma knitted for you in your forties...? Only joking pal
Used to have the Grey diamond print Candy shirt I got as a hand me down! long lost now though but I still think of it fondly.
My only old memoribilia I have on me left is the 96 home jersey, was the first jersey I ever owned and it was the beginning of the love affair if you will.
I forgot to say I've still got the EE Aye Adio Tribute LP (they were Lps in those days - not albums!) circa 1965
