I’m pretty sure we used to get about 48k for big games in the 60’s. The old memory might be at fault though.
Maybe stick away fans back in the cheese wedge. Few Teams go anywhere selling out their away allocation at Elland Road leading to several hundred empty seats in an otherwise packed stadium. Seems a waste of precious space as well as a loss of revenue
My first games at ER were on complimentary tickets because I played football for the school team. Wonder how many of these tickets were given out to every school in Leeds catchment area as I know that every school got them for every home game and we're counted as part of the gate?
The other option is to increase match day prices, that stops the plastics, but not popular. Only 22,000 average only 3 seasons back before the freeze on season ticket prices.
Not sure it does, wealthy plastics just pay up to see the Scum visit, poor sods who watched us at Tranmere away etc get priced out.
Last season mine was £50 cheaper for renewing, not exactly a huge amount but better than nothing I suppose. The U16's ticket for my son offered no renewal discount but you do get 50% off so it's the same price as last season, as I said. You keep confusing me with yourself...who doesn't have a scooby what he's doing.
No, not at any time should we put them back in there sorry. It would mean giving away half of the South Stand for those wanting their full allocation so that should never ever happen!
I got a complimentary ticket for years as a Leeds agent selling bingo cards. Used to get a trip to the FA Cup Final when Leeds weren't there and I also won a trip to the World Cup Final in Frankfurt for Scotland v Brazil. Went to that wearing my Leeds dungarees and attire!
