Bates is a disgrace. To anyone who can't see this man hates Leeds United and wants to piss the fans off as much as possible, surely this pointless, spiteful and draconian move has changed your mind?

The club say their reasoning for it is to make troublemakers more identifiable. There hasn't been trouble (by which I mean violence or attacks) emanating from the Kop. This move won't make fans more identifiable. Do they really think that Munich chants are getting sung at league home matches and this is their plan to CCTV stalk the fans singing them so they can serve them with banning orders?

If so, they haven't explained themselves very clearly at all and I suggest this has been an utterly pointless move. There has been talk of this paving the way for 'Bates out' chanters and persistent standers getting banned. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. The purple jacketed scum were testing the waters in the upper Kop on Saturday and I expect to see more of those pondlife wasters in the future trying to destroy our match experience.

All these measures will do is drive yet more Leeds fans away and worsen the atmosphere in the Kop. Well done Bates. Just remember that no matter how hard you try, the fans of the Gelderd End will never be silenced and forced to sit on their hands for 90 minutes. I'll turn up in a balaklava if I have to so you can't identify me with your poxy CCTV as I try to experience a football match like any other proud supporter in hundreds of countries around the world is allowed to. Die.

I thought it was only for the Cardiff game not for the future games...

Well **** a duck, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. He takes the piss that old bastard. I have to say though, the Kop there isnt generally the trouble there...try the South Stand for trouble to be honest...

The same South Stand where non-members who can't get into the Kop will now go due to the cheap prices and better atmosphere than the side stands. It makes no sense whatsoever. The club say that having only members and ST holders in the Kop will make them easier to track down. Well they take down the address of non-members too when they buy tickets, so that's plain wrong.

The only justification that I can think of is that Bates is genuinely a Leeds hater who wants to piss off our fans as much as possible and punish the Kop for its dissent towards his awful chairmanship and **** business brain. Like you say, one could argue that this will increase trouble at league home games with casual fans being pushed nearer to the away section.

Just so angry right now about this.

    Don't worry...

This will be a good thing (although I doubt Bates planned it to be),

Now the Kop tickets are protected for sale only to the members who get behind the lads home & away (great news).
Whilst the South stand & cheese wedge will be available for the younger lads and sometime visitors.

Having seen football abroad the best atmosphere is always found at grounds with home fans at each end chanting at each other.

This will improve the experience, the South Stand will try to out perform the Kop...

From the Square Ball's transcription of Bates' Yorkshire Radio interview:

Bates you ****ing idiot. You really think that people would have been singing Munich songs against Cardiff if you hadn't made this move? And you've "assumed that the [so-called] troublemakers were basically non-members"? Yet again, this business idiot imposes his stupid policies on our club. How much longer can this moronic chairmanship continue?
